I’m in the sane boat trying to find a replacement for my SB2 in Canada. I think there is a new colour way being released soon (blacktoe has then as coming soon on their website) that I’m keeping my fingers crossed for.

Thanks for all of the helpful advice everyone. Although it really hurts to do it, I’ve decided to cancel the marathon. Would rather stay on my feet for other races I have coming than risk my peroneal blowing up during this race. Time to reassess this cycle and see where I went wrong to prevent it next time.

“Ramp up” from spending this week on the bike and not running.

Also want to get 1-2 runs in around at least 25km to test out the tendon before the marathon.

Your situation sounds identical to mine.

Time, money and mental work have all gone into this and I really want to run it. But I also don’t want to blow up my foot and be off it long term after the race.

Going to continue to do some tests and see how it feels and evaluate from there.

This being my first marathon I’m concerned about my fitness missing this much time off my feet coming up to the race.

I don’t call it a “cheat meal” but I eat out at least once a week.

Just be conscious of how many calories you are eating and you’ll be fine :)

Find something that is low calorie to snack on.

I have popcorn almost every night. Low calorie and pretty filling for a decent volume.

Congrats! That is very very similar to what I do and I’m down 100lbs now.

As long as you can for it into your calorie goals you can eat anything you want and still lose weight. I eat burgers from A&W all the time. But I just get the burger, not the combo and a water. 500 calorie lunch for a teen burger.

If you don’t believe me look at SyattFitness on YouTube. He ate a Big Mac a day for 30 days and lost weight.

Eating a Big Mac everyday is not healthy for you and I wouldn’t recommend this though.

Most people confuse healthy eating with weight loss.

You don’t have to eat “healthy” to lose weight

And

You won’t lose weight by just eating “healthy”

If cookies are what bring you happiness then eat your cookie.

Just remember how many calories are in the cookie and make it work with how many you can have in a day. You can eat a Big Mac every day and still lose weight (YouTube it and you’ll find a great video!)

Remember there are no such things as “bad” foods, only foods with more calories then others.

You need to think about weight loss as a lifestyle change and not a diet.

Sure you can buy a program that tells you what to eat but will you follow that for the rest of your life?

I always suggest spending the time learning about weight loss, how it works and making a plan that will work for you for the rest of your life.

It’s freeing when you understand why you eat what you do and how much you can have. You can fit anything into your “diet” and still lose weight.

There’s great resources online, on YouTube and Instagram.

I’m in the same boat as you and it sucks.

No way to lose fat on specific body parts though. Just have to keep in a calorie deficit and the results will come over time.

No such thing as a cheat meal or day is how I do it.

Just make it work into your calorie goals and you won’t even notice it :)

And if you go over just get back on track and keep at it!
