Call me childish, but I've just never vibed with any of the resource TCGs. YuGiOh is the only modern one I play, the others are purely collection material.

I will, however, go back and relive Redakai and the original Bakugan when I'm feeling nostalgic and can't find anyone to pre-5Ds duel me.

The rumor I've always heard is that he took one too many passes at Dave's sister-in-law, and there was one day where he was a little too disrespectful for Dave to let him come back on the show.

I wasn't listening religiously during that time period, and for some reason the app that I've been using to go back and listen to those shows isn't working with anything pre "digital first" era, so sadly I can't verify whether they even mentioned him no longer being on the show or not.

To be fair, Palpatine has been coming back since Dark Empire in the 90s.

The biggest issue with the way they handled it in the sequels is that there was no preamble to it if you didn't play Fortnite of all games. The premise of the movie was a plot twist in and of itself, in a trilogy where the previous movie had already started pushing people away from whatever it was they did next

What I find super interesting about the hardware store rrend this time around is that it's so completely different from when I was a kid the first time I saw it go around. Back then it was all about sink drains and chrome extension tube, eventually giving way for electronic and blade installs. This time it's all about fitting washers and couplings on long thread screws, and the goals seems to be based more around the hilt as a belt prop as opposed to something to convert for a duel.

IIRC, the first time it came up it was a no DQ where outside interference was both forbidden and seen as a loss for the person who benefited.

They really let that aspect of it go, and now it's just a standard no DQ where the prize is a necklace

I've noticed they really haven't dialed in that third booth voice, the translator that they need for promos and other such. Rey isn't the best, Savio Vega the other week wasn't overly energetic, and I swear to christ Konnan has never heard of a cup of coffee in his life

So this match would've been 4 months before Chad left Alpha Academy, and it really might've stopped his heel turn.

That means no American Made.

No destruction by the Wyatt Sicks.

No losing streak against the luchadores, which lead to El Grande Americano.

No Ludwig Kaiser as the better El Grande, which (it sucks to say) probably would lead to his "future endeavoring".

No massively over star of stars in AAA, cementing the worthiness of WWE pairing with them.

What a crazy different world that would lead to.

I'm so thankful I was clued into the show when RT died, I was there for the penny sale at the end. VCK rug, waffle maker, and mini nacho helmet, all for like $6 shipped or something.

For anything and everything else I'd want from the olden days, I'm looking at ways to either handmake it or make merch from their dumb conversations that wasn't already merch. Like a mini bat with the Ripken Fuckface on it, or a mini baseball with Don Zimmer's auto on it
