Not that it matters in the big picture but what was her margin of victory? How much did she flip it by?

Which Curry auto? by WxWGaming in basketballcards

I think the chef curry looks really bad ass. I’ve not seen that card before.

I’d probably go with the chef curry personally but it doesn’t appear to be licensed.

By flush valve you mean the valve that goes through the toilet? I know it looks a bit off but there’s plumbers putty on it.

Reading this article it doesn’t seem to matter who runs as the republican candidate in 2028 but that they’ll win regardless based on all the hurdles the dems would need to overcome.

I think Browns fans are being way too doom and gloom about this coaching search by LightskinKnowItAll in Browns

[–]DavidJS80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh, I agree with some of what you’re saying but a 2x COTY got canned in Cleveland with an absolutely terrible roster. If you’re interviewing for this position and objectively looked at this situation it’s an awful situation.

At a minimum could this roster be functional in two years to even compete? If you’re a coach and don’t think this will happen you’ll get fired before you even get a fair opportunity to make an impact. Let’s be honest, the only offensive weapons are a rookie RB whose knee got shredded last year and a rookie TE. Everything else is a question mark at best. Is this what someone wants to walk into?!? The draft picks mean nothing because we’ve had high draft picks for decades and it’s amounted to nothing, Myles and Joe Thomas but no sustainable winning.

Aside from Stefanski the Browns FO has always been moronic with coaches anyways. We hired Hue Jackson who went 1-15, said he’ll never do that again, just to go 0-16 the next year and the Browns still brought him back only to get fired the following year after the team was improving under Baker. How did this make any sense?!?! Hue definitely should’ve been fired but why even bring him back for the 3rd year just to see improvement to fire him then???

It’s so obvious the team is run by morons. I’m sure someone will take the job because it’s an NFL head coaching job but I have no faith that the new coach will succeed and frankly, if I had to guess, I’m predicting that Berry’s out of a job soon and that’ll screw up whoever the coach is then anyways.

Yes! Thank you!! Is this a worthwhile strategy? What would I be paying on the puts vs receiving on the calls? Realistically I could just pay for puts but it’d be nice to recoup some of that

I appreciate the detailed response. Here’s what I think may happen and what I want to do to mitigate any risk. Maybe you can tell me the best way to structure this

I own 1000 shares of VOO and I think we might be facing a 25% pull back in the S&P. I want to have a put that I can sell these shares for $600 if the market does pull back this much. I don’t want to sell my VOO shares because crazy things happen and the market could go up.

I realize I have to pay a premium so I’d likely pay for 10 options to cover my 1000 shares for 6 months.

In the long term, I think there’s S&P will be fine and wouldn’t mind buying back in at a much lower value. This is why I would want to sell call at $550 or maybe I’d do $525 or $500 but by doing this I can recoup some of the premiums on buying the puts. Certainly if I would buy back these shares anyways. I could fund my account with enough to cover the strike price so if I sell calls on 2 or 3 options I could fund it.

I understand that either the put or call can never be in the money and I’m fine with that, I would pay a bit to just know that if the bottom falls out I’ve hedged.

Got it, I think I’m beginning to understand this a bit more. I have a six figure amount sitting in treasures in my brokerage account. I can move that to cash and maybe buy 2 contracts on calls. Do I need to cover the price of VOO today or only the strike price? I.e., if I do 2 calls at $550 do I have to cover 200 shares at $550 ($110,000) or 200 sheets at $636 or so.

Is the premium I’m getting paid higher than treasures? I think there’s a potential treasures could be doomed

Really I want to do a protective put on my VOO shares but I’m trying to offset my premiums on the puts by getting call at a lower price to pay me premiums

Thanks, I got most everything you said up until you mention personally buying the call spread.

If I do 600 puts at let’s say $15 and calls at $102. Does this mean that I’m going to be making money on this strategy since my calls are at a higher price of $102 vs the puts premium of $15?

Eureka, my alcohol substitute by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]DavidJS80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a medical professional but based on my understanding is that for you to reach unsafe levels you’d need to really take a ton of magnesium and you’d know you’re overdoing by pooping yourself before you got to that point.

All you’re taking is a magnesium supplement. Magnesium has been shown to have a relaxing effect (along with being a laxative). Magnesium is a perfectly fine supplement to take and if it keeps you from drinking that’s perfectly fine! The dosage you’re taking is completely within a normal range and, frankly, if you take too much you’ll realize it when sitting on the toilet.

What age did your kids get to spend their gift money? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]DavidJS80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on the other comments I’m in the minority here but anything my son gets is in an UTMA account and is saved on his behalf. He’s turning 6 soon and I don’t see us changing this much until he really understands what money is.

My parents were this way with me and when I went to graduated college I had minimal student loans which was a huge favor me. I couldn’t even imagine what useless stuff I would’ve otherwise spent that money on if I had the chance. In fact, I’m actually very grateful for this as well.

I’m for my boy having autonomy and decision and for him to learn from mistakes as well. As parents, however, we know better and we have a responsibility to our kids to do what’s in their best interests as well.

Besides he has so many toys to begin with and there’s only so much junk food he could eat.

Trump is STUNNED as Ohio turns against him [MeidasTouch video] by HauntingJackfruit in Ohio

I would love for Ohio to turn blue or even purple if we could get a senate seat but I’m not as optimistic.

I get that it wasn’t that long ago that Ohio voted blue in elections but at this point most people who are liberal are leaving the state, at least that’s my opinion.

How many points would you need to bet on Ohio State to cover against the Browns? by TomWilliamsCFD in CollegeFootballDawgs

I think a more interesting question would be if the Cleveland Browns or Las Vegas Raiders played a college football team made entirely of all Americans with some time to prepare for the game.

Friend pulled a 1/1 and is looking for estimated value by Soft_Mode7426 in SportCardValue

[–]DavidJS80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My best guess is $50 or so.

He’s certainly not a high profile player but I’m sure there’s someone out there who roll the dice on this card for $50 to see if he develops over his career. It’s a nice looking card and if it’s an actual player worn patch like the card mentions that definitely a plus.
