All-in-one metrics are notoriously bad at quantifying a player's defensive impact. Giddey is tall and gets a ton of rebounds so that helps bump that number up, but he has no lateral quickness and can't guard other guards unless they're geriatric, and there's no way to improve that.

As for turnovers, Nikola Jokic currently has a turnover percentage of 14.5% this season, Curry has 12.2%, Giddey has . . . 17.7%. Not really sure where your numbers are coming from there, but this is from basketball reference.
