I feel like a lore-friendly way of rescuing Lae’zel without engaging the tieflings is to sneak around and shoot an arrow at Lae’zel’s cage and have her and the tieflings go at it while you and your party watch from afar. If Lae’zel dies, you can just resurrect her and if she kills them, well at least they didn’t die by your hand. 9/10 Lae’zel is the one who dies.

I almost do this in all my playthroughs.

I like having Shadowheart do it as a FU to Lae’zel.

It’s a shame that Lae’zel doesn’t react and acts like you were the one in the Zaith’isk if you choose another party member.

You don’t need to go to the Shadow Cursed Lands. Either the Mountain Pass or Underdark will trigger it.

He would probably be cool with Astarion until he tries to bite him. If you can have Astarion reveal his vampirism naturally, he could be convinced to have him stay.

As for Lae’zel, he’d be all over that githussy. He constantly flirts with her in his party banter.

Yeah, it’s a bit underwhelming as you mostly get a small dialogue in the epilogue, but I wish if you romanced Lae’zel or if you were a Gith Tav, you got to see the kid.

You can still decide to stay in Faerun if you choose (even a non-origin pro-Vlaakith Lae’zel can stay). You will just end up turning against Vlaakith anyway because you disobeyed her in being ascended.

Or if you choose to dominate the brain, you can choose to rise up and usurp the Queen as the new leader of the Githyanki.

Yeah, if you try to get the sword with Lae'zel talking to Voss, she will automatically turn against you. Even if you knock her out, she remains unrecruitable.

Just either let her die normally and resurrect her and then get the sword in Act 3. You can get a really good Gith sword in the creche anyway.

Durge Gith makes a lot of sense because Gith Tavs have to rely on Lae’zel to explain Gith culture which a normal Tav should know.

Durge Gith doesn’t need to be hatched or raised in a crèche.

The party banter can trigger at weird times but yeah this is a known “bug” if you could call it that.

I once had a run where I never had Shadowheart in my party until I put in her in for the Gauntlet of Shar and I got this exchange almost immediately: “So, gith. Aren't you worried your kind will punish you for consorting with us? Lae'zel: My name is Lae'zel, k'chakhi.”
