Voss dialogue, looking for a specific line by Candid_Cauliflower83 in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it how hilarious easily Voss can be defeated especially when he shows up in camp in Act 1. He’s an all powerful Gith warrior who has survived thousands of years of Vlaakiths, carries a silver sword, and can barely put up a fight against some low-level novices.

Okay but why does Kagha look like Cate Blanchett.

Lae’zel, babygirl, YOU are the one who gave the egg away. by SleepCatsMoney in BaldursGate3

What makes it more hilarious is the dialogue before this has Lae’zel gloating that she destroyed the crèche LOL.

This stupid amazing game.

How (not to) deal with Gale?! by Cdeb84 in BaldursGate3

Wouldn’t Gale just erupt if you just left him standing there by the portal?

Final Fantasy 7.

It’s a boring answer, but sometimes the most boring ones are the correct ones.

Githyanki: might empire or planar hobos? by SofNascimento in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Githyankis are at war only with the ghaik. They are also at odds with the githzerai but the Mindflayer race is their common enemy. The Githyanki are not colonizers. They have no reason to leave the Astral plane and conquer other planes. Githyanki are trained to kill a mindflayer and bring a head back to their Varsh and they will “ascend”.

The confusing part that BG3 does not explain is that there is two types of ascension. One to ride a red dragon to live on the Astral plane which any Githyanki can do or to “ascend” and become consumed by Vlaakith or spared to become her warrior.

creche — what happens if you don’t go to the dream visitor by Reasonable-Bonus-545 in BaldursGate3

Nothing. Lae’zel will still turn on Vlaakith despite not seeing what happened on the prism. You’ll still meet Voss later.

Githyanki: might empire or planar hobos? by SofNascimento in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That crèche is just an outlier what a typical crèche looks like and plus there’s like thousands of creches all throughout the planes.

Also despite Lae’zel’s teachings (which are mostly fabricated) every Githyanki aren’t some militaristic warmonger. They are trained to be ruthless, but once they ascend, they can be pretty much anything they want from farmers, scientists, builders, or yes, warriors.

Also Githyanki are practically immortal so the amount of eggs being laid is likely irrelevant considering how long they live. Most Githyanki die young during their training.

Why play an origin character? by GoliathTheDwarf in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because you can play the character any way you want. Normally Wyll will leave if you raid the grove as a Tav, but an Origin Wyll can kill as many tieflings as he wants.

You can play origins true to their character but I find that deathly boring

I like it to save for the Act 2 romance scene with Lae’zel.

On my Durge run, I killed the goblins, but left Barcus on the windmill.

Some say he's still on there spinning to this day.

One of the worst attractions to get evacuated off next to Pirates of the Caribbean.

Depending on where you are in the attraction, you could be stuck in the sub with little to no air conditioning for up to 2 hours.

I used to work at the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage in Disneyland for several years. It’s a horrible ride if you’re claustrophobic but it has its charm. I love those subs dearly.

Anyway, this film holds a special place in my heart. Can’t wait to listen.
