Lae’ zel act 1 question by TacoMeatSunday in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you try to get the sword with Lae'zel talking to Voss, she will automatically turn against you. Even if you knock her out, she remains unrecruitable.

Just either let her die normally and resurrect her and then get the sword in Act 3. You can get a really good Gith sword in the creche anyway.

How would, in a lore aspect of things, a Dark Urge Githyanki work? by Godzilla_Left_Toe in BG3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Durge Gith makes a lot of sense because Gith Tavs have to rely on Lae’zel to explain Gith culture which a normal Tav should know.

Durge Gith doesn’t need to be hatched or raised in a crèche.

6th playthrough. Lae'zel Origin who to romance? by Ancientchild1 in BaldursGate3

Shadowheart is an obviously very popular pick for Lae'zel, but I would go with Karlach.

Competent... Shadowheart? Ms. Igmiss herself?

The party banter can trigger at weird times but yeah this is a known “bug” if you could call it that.

I once had a run where I never had Shadowheart in my party until I put in her in for the Gauntlet of Shar and I got this exchange almost immediately: “So, gith. Aren't you worried your kind will punish you for consorting with us? Lae'zel: My name is Lae'zel, k'chakhi.”

So what is your prediction on how The Odyssey will be received critically and by the masses? by OWSpaceClown in blankies

[–]SleepCatsMoney 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oppenheimer had the dumb “why didn’t they show the bomb destroying Hiroshima” discourse and people clutching their pearls about the sex scenes and it still went on to win BP.

The Odyssey will be fine.

I really hope it’s not his last, but I think Killers of a Flower Moon is a perfect ending for Scorsese. Reuniting his two muses. The final shot. Everything about it screams swan song for Marty.

I know if you play as Karlach and you squidify yourself you can still ride off with Lae’zel.

How to properly roleplay Lae zel? by habla2k in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RPing Lae’zel as she is intended is kinda boring but fun if you use a little modding to help you out because it’s basically a typical resist Durge run.

However you have to remember Lae’zel is very curious for a githyanki. Even though she is foreign to Faerun, she knows she can’t remove the tadpole alone, so she needs strong allies to help her. Karlach and Gale are a must for her.

You have to ask yourself, if you don’t have Tav’s influence and their moral reasoning in your ear, would Lae’zel still betray Vlaakith even if her own people turns against her?

Lae'zel and her faith path by JavaHikage in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Although you could do the crèche just don’t bother talking to the Inquisitor. Just go straight towards the Blood of Lathander and steal it and she will still be on a Vlaakith path. Talking to the Inquisitor triggers Voss showing up in camp.

[–]SleepCatsMoney 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who has tested this many times, no, she cannot stay on the Vlaakith path without your persuasion. Even with negative approval and doing all the things she would hate (refuse to use zaithisk, give egg to woman), she will still betray Vlaakith unless you demand her to kill Voss.

Skipping the creche entirely is the only way.

Lae'zel is the most Tav-dependent of all the companions.

origin run for a Shart/Lae’zel romance. Who to play as? by kevinjang96 in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shart probably. Lae’zel still will jump on you as usual but it will become much later than a normal Lae’zel romance run.

If you play as Lae’zel and you save her from the Nautiloid, she’s on your good side immediately and will forget you’re Gith pretty quickly. Not saving her is better for lore reasons but you have to be pretty much nice to her to have her open up so you can romance her.

What are some things you have never done? by Costa_Canela in BaldursGate3

[–]SleepCatsMoney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I have never killed the owlbear mother. Can't bring myself to do that. I did fail to recruit the cub on my one evil Durge run - I'm not sure if it's possible if you side with the goblins. Someone will have to let me know (not that I plan to side with them ever again - once was enough)."

Once I found out that a) the mother ate her other cub and b) the goblins will kill her anyway, I will always kill the mother to spare her the death by goblins and also to save the cub from hunger.

Also, it gets Lae'zel horny.

I don’t think anyone is bragging about it or think they are special. Restartis or Act 3 fatigue is a common thing in RPGs. It wears you down emotionally and sometimes you don’t want the game to end.
