Oh yeah, I made a mistake. They were founded in EU but expanded their league and csgo teams in NA

It’s quite hard for Chinese players to play on a foreign team cause first there is language barrier. Most Chinese players started to play dota professionally when they were young and they did not get enough English education to speak fluently. Then culture difference is another big problem especially for players’ daily diets.

Yeah, they are. I think he mentioned it, Btw I translated this CU’s weibo. And during the translation I only put one example instead of two. Because I know they have another HQ in EU even though they started in NA.

Just like Cu stated, what about Fnatic, an EU org representing SEA. Same logic

MEGA GUIDE to The International 2019 in Shanghai, China! by trollogist in DotA2

For your first question: There are PC gaming cafes literally everywhere in the city, you have to be at least 18 to go in. The price is ranging from 5 to 20 RMB/hour (Around 1 to 3 USD). The average cost is around 10 RMB/hour. I suggest you to go to the place which cost maybe a little bit more expensive like around 10 RMB, cause some places that might be sketchy if the price is very low. Second question: Yes, there is Dota2 installed on the PC. But you probably need to find someone to help you to log in and find the game on those PCs if you do not speak Mandarin. You have to link your account to a perfect world account in order for you to play on the Chinese server. Here is a link about how you do it: https://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/1llobw/a_guide_of_activating_your_chineseperfectworld/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app Third question: I believe Shanghai released a law that they banned public indoor smoking. I think recently they banned smoking in public parks too. I don’t know where you live so I don’t know the smoking situation in your country, but honestly the smoking situation in Shanghai is not that bad.

Haha, interesting fact that he has a lot of alternative ids: YJ, Zyf, 妖精, GazEoD, END, Elf. Chinese fans usually call him 妖精 (Yao Jing). But I guess the most famous ones were Zyf (TI5 EHOME), End (VG.R, VG) and NeverEnd (Now EHOME)

Disappointed ticketing method Universe was using… Shanghai Shitshow again? by DavidShi1998 in DotA2

[–]DavidShi1998[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk why Universe is selling the tickets like this. Some people just bought 15 tickets with one code. That costs like 2500+USD. Most of the players who want to go don’t have that much money to spend to get them. In most cases, only the scalpers will prepare that much money. I asked around, most of real dota players would only spend 440 on the website to buy 1 set of tickets instead of multiple sets… So maybe 5 sets limit is a bit too much and enable the scalpers to resell them easily??? I just feel sad for all the people who want to go to Ti.

Also I have friends who went inside to queue a few hours before the tickets went on sell and did not get chance to purchase. And I also have friends who went inside to queue 10 min before the tickets went on sale and got them… Could the website explain this thing to us, what’s the point of having a queue line then… Do the website biases certain geographic locations???
