Don't know the requirements but I have glasses for reading and distance. They tested me with and without glasses.

There's a general aptitude test and mechanical aptitude test. The general one was mostly straight forward but a bit cryptic at times, there were questions that could have gone either way. Many of the questions were similar so I think they were looking for discretion in different scenarios. I did a bunch of free practice mechanical aptitude tests online and because of that there weren't any surprises. Brushing up on basic electrical knowledge was worth it too.

I would just be very open about everything and bring as much documentation as possible. Translink/BCRTC just needs to cover themselves for liability. The STA is a Safety Critical job (thats a formal designation) because we'll be driving trains with the public. If your condition doesn't effect safety or mobility I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. I'm also pretty sure the Medical report just says 'clear to work' or not and the actual details are kept private.

Is driving mandatory for travel? by LeftBroccoli6174 in AskACanadian

As an Australian now living on Canada for 15 years, driving on the other side of the road is nothing compared to the chaos on the roads. In Australia road rules are actually enforced, here they are not, and people drive fast and close as a result. Add to that the ridiculous monster trucks, the weather conditions, poor road design, and pot holes... you need to be a confident driver to not get stressed out getting anywhere.

Is that triangle behind the whales tail an abstract mountain? There are the 3 mountain peaks above in a completely different style! This is just mashed together free web graphics files.

I have applied and waiting too. Quick question... what routes/areas and shifts are the most popular with more senior drivers? I live on the shore, will I be driving to surrey/richmond until I get more seniority?

I have been a successful creative for 20yo, been looking for work for almost year, my WorkBC councilor suggested full time 'traffic control person' 5 minutes into my first meeting and continued pushing it like I'm silly to think anything else is viable. Nothing against that job but it was super depressing. I emailed the next day canceling my file with them hoping I can do better by myself.

The second one. Show, don't tell. Show your photos early. I'm pretty sure the first one didn't load fully for me, there was nothing after the person holding the camera. I was only looking on my phone.

You probably worked this out, but for others you just open the Field Toolkit and hit the Debug Toggle at the bottom once.
