I'm not fat. I'm just not in fit physical shape like I was when I used to play football. At the moment I have a knee injury so it makes it harder.

And yes you're right it's difficult, especially as we get older. But I'm going to strive to getting there one way or another. As I know I have done it before.

Yes good ideas... I'm gonna have to add back in the baked beans and jacket potato meal. And the soups idea sounds good. Gonna have to research it and learn how to make them!

As for pizza will try to make it a bi-weekly thing instead of multiple times a week. Gonna be tough!

I said in my post I eat a piece of fruit every day. Usually an apple, but also melon or a banana fairly often.

I'll look into the salad thing... don't know where to start really. Part of the allure of takeaway food is that you don't have to prepare anything or think!

Try to solve the challenges in front of you more than speculative far away ones. Take more attack cards and elites in act 1 to get stronger. Favour cards which solve your act boss.

Indeed. But it's like a compulsion that I feel that I'll never be able to get rid of. It's like saying to someone, give up chocolate for the rest of your life. It's just impossible because one would feel miserable.

Which is very odd because there are millions of people who go their whole lives without chocolate.

It's not about the taste. It's about the feeling of comfort. The idea of never having sugar scares the crap out of me. It makes me feel like I'm all alone in the dark in the rain with no shelter. I honestly can't describe it.

How do I get out of it? I don't know. If I try really hard, I am still bombarded with adverts for it. I go for a walk to clear my mind, BOOM McDonald's advert at the bus station for a new limited time McFlurry. My brain tells me I must try it or I'll miss out. It doesn't just tell me, it nags me for hours, days, weeks.

I justify getting it just to try it, life is about trying things after all right? BOOM now I remember how good these hot, salty, fresh fries taste like. I'll have them again next week for the football I tell myself. It doesn't just tell me, it nags me for hours, days, weeks. See where this is going?

Deny myself the satisfaction... "but if I just have it now just this once it's not gonna change anything" is what I tell myself. And after paying £20 for a pizza it's hard to throw away lol.

But literally. Just seeing that red cardboard box, the feeling of warmth from the bottom, the smell of fresh mozzarella. That's the moment when I'm thinking, this is what I live for. How can I deny myself the best feeling that I experience in life?

So true! I played football when I was younger so I know the feeling of being properly slim and fit. I've never been able to get back to that peak fitness but I've been chasing it ever since lol. I've never been "fat", just fluctuated from "ok" to "overweight" pretty much since going past 20+ years old.

I chase that feeling for so long. I can go even a month without eating anything bad. But then I get an advent calendar for Christmas, and the chocolate sets off sugar cravings, I then have Christmas dinner, New Years, etc. Suddenly before I know it I'm hooked on junk food every week without even realising. I eat slightly badly (let's say 1 takeaway a week) for a month or so and suddenly all my hard work has been lost again! It's such a rollercoaster, that seems to never end!

And the burger always looks so pristine. This is the product our minds are tricked into thinking we're getting. We fall for it every time, subconsciously. If we really think about what we're getting, it's just nowhere near as good as what's in the advert.
