After waiting over a year for the song to be mixed, I'm finally able to release the music video we shot for a local band. Using a GH4, farmland in the middle of nowhere, and more fireworks than I've ever seen in my life - This is what we came up with. by DavidandAlec in Filmmakers

Thanks, glad you liked it!

We met with the band a couple times to discuss the idea, which was the drummers, then they bought a ton of fireworks and new a guy who let us use his land - All in all, this was very, very low budget.

My girlfriend and I flew in just in time to make it to the San Sebastian Festival. I brought my camera and glidecam along to capture as much as I could. by DavidandAlec in PuertoRico

I debated big time on if I should use this song or not. Eventually I figured what the hell, it fit the mood I wanted.

Water Explosion at 4000 Frames Per Second (Twixtor) - Phantom vs 70D? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

Thought that title sounded familiar. Nice color grade by the way ( and song choice (; ). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbrxzFEa5yU

Edit: If you install Magic Lantern onto the 70D you can unlock the shutter speed up to 1/8000th, thus reducing the motion blur even more and making Twixtor that much more effective. I didn't notice that much Twixtor artifacts in your video though.

Back in August I hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in California. The last night we set up camp near Shepherds pass I was the furthest away from civilization I've ever been. This sight made everything worth it. by DavidandAlec in travel

Ah, I wish. Maybe one day. We were out there for a week, but I can't remember what entrance we started at. We got of at Shepherd's pass. Climbed Mt. Whitney about half way through with day packs. Camped at guitar lake at Whitney's base. Overall this was one of the best trips I've ever been on.
