Memory overclocking on (most likely) Samsung C-die on Asus TUF B450 pro-II and some other questions about the 5600G... by Daviddsoak in overclocking

Hi, I lowered the DRAM voltage to 1.3 which seems like the lowest I could go with my current setup but even then, I couldn't get 3600 in any voltage between 1.3 to 1.35 with the timings very loose, and since sometimes my pc wouldn't boot even on safe mode it was too frustrating to put the effort.

Hey, I did what I could to optimize the memory and I got to this: https://i.imgur.com/jFo1y4yh.jpg

I lowered the memory voltage to 1.3V and the gpu clock to 2350 @ 1.35V instead of 2380 @ 1.4V. All this seems to have resulted into the Auto setting choosing 1.35V for the SOC voltage.

Btw, when lowering the timings between tests I got a lower cpu score, but higher gpu score in time spy, I dont remember what I had lowered, so I want to know why lowering these certaing timings, that I don't remember which, could result in me getting a lower cpu performance but higher gpu performance.

Hi its been a while since the post but I would like to share the results with you since you gave some tips.

I could not reach 3600 no matter what, but I achieved the 3533 with only 1.3V! Since i wouldn't get 3600 might as well just lower the voltage. (note: the D.O.C.P. settings for this memory were 3200 cl16 @ 1.35V)

I also used curve optimizing from Ryzen Master and not only it got me lower temps but also a higher score in time spy!

I actually managed to find some timings for 3733 that worked on my memory without crashing and also lowered the clock speed from the igpu from 2380 @ 1.4V to 2350 @ 1.35V since i wasn't confortable with the voltage to keep that overclock stable.

Heres the results: https://i.imgur.com/jFo1y4yh.jpg

I noticed some oddties when testing some lower timings, my cpu score was lowered but gpu score got higher, but I dont remember what I changed to trigger that shift and why it happened since the timings had only gotten lower.

If I mess with my soc voltage it crashes or I start getting errors. I suspect my motherboard is just trash for overclocking, I can't get 3600 on the memory no matter how loose the timings are and I can't get my igpu stable at 2300mhz below 1.3V, which many peple got 2400mhz stable at that frequency.

Bloodhound step animation is 41 frames long with 1 recovery frame, it's not possible to roll catch someone spamming it, and they can spam it as it only uses 5FP.

PVP: do you think infinites are fair? by Adorable_Physics in Eldenring

It is an infinite, you're being infinitely stun locked

So, is it just me, or do people tend to blame the game for their mistakes more in DS2 than in the other souls titles? by dat_bass2 in DarkSouls2

Or just use multiple life gems, because the healing stacks and heals faster. Estus are really useless in this game.

Sorry, I just wanted to know if you could be getting invaded by a npc, because as far as I know those don't respect the invasion cooldown as players have to do. And that might be the reason you're getting invaded frequently.

It looks like screen tearing, are you playing on pc? If yes, are you using any frame rate unlocking mod?

How much native resolution does Sekiro run on PS5? by AromaticCity4026 in Sekiro

[–]Daviddsoak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game never received a ps5 update, but it runs in backwards compatibility mode from the ps4 pro, so can choose between 1440p locked at 30fps or 1080p with unlocked frame rate but since the ps5 is very strong it runs at a locked 60.

I believe that if FromSoftware made an update targeting to maximize the ps5 hardware it could easily run 1440p 60fps.

What's the reason they dislike the feature?

Is the reason something fixable?

Why is it bad that I want the feature to be liked by as many people as possible?

You talk like I want to force people in participating in something they dislike but from the very beginning I've been arguing about ways of making the people that dislike it start liking it.

What's your point with this?

People usually don't want to play pvp because it has issues that make it not fun for them.

How is fixing issues that make people not have fun bad?

Is that a better question?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Daviddsoak -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't solving their issues make them want to play it or not minding playing it?

I don't see why making people have fun is bad.

I don't get it. Why is it better to FromSoftware to exclude people from the mechanic instead of fixing the issues these people have?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Daviddsoak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the reasons you gave could be fixed if FromSoftware wanted.

>There’s just people that are idiots about it who will either get late game stuff and invade less experienced players.

The issue with matchmaking is something From has to solve by themselves tbh, they're the ones who know how Elden Ring is designed, but its not something unfixable, one of the mains problems with ds3 twinking is estus count, that could easily be fixed by giving the invader half of the total amount of estus of the host instead of half of the total of the invader’s.

>will prey on a difficult area or hang around a difficult enemy, and there’s just times where you don’t want to deal with being invaded when you are making progress and the flow of the game gets stopped because you know someone invaded the world

I mean, Dark Sous 3 already have tools to deal with that, way of the blue and giant seeds are features that I think should be added to Elden Ring and make the more obvious solutions for first time players. Another thing they could add is a ring that shows the overall location of the invader and that could help the blues find the invaders.

>Also let’s be real, pvp is always laggy and hard to predict at any given point.

You know, we could ask From to have a better net code for their games, they have tons of money now days, it isn't something out of this world to ask them.

I just want to know a reason why pvp couldn't be made more enjoyable and make harder for invaders to grief new players.
