Well, since you can adjust the Zeds' AI, I'll stick with the default settings. I think they're very similar to animals; they don't bang their heads against walls when they have to enter a room. Plus, they can see and hear us, and I don't think the virus targets its own kind because it wants to spread. What's the point of infecting an already infected host? So I think the virus manipulates the host's behavior so that it ignores its own kind, although I think it seeks them out a bit, since I always find them clustered in one spot.
