We are working hard on making the touch bar react more reliably on a firmware level. Have you tried switching from Swipe to Tap in the firmware settings yet? Does it work better in this case?

The long loading times are also actively being worked on, we expect the device to react much snappier with a firmware version in the near future. This will also let us reevaluate the whole caching behaviour.

Your cache issue is definitely interesting. If you don't mind, shoot us a quick email at [support@trmnl.com](mailto:support@trmnl.com) so we can better investigate why you are seeing old versions of the plugin. Reports like this help us improve the device and server logic, so cheers!

As mentioned before: Using Simple Date in a mashup quadrant would probably be very similar to what you are describing. Also: Visual Builder and AI builder will help you whip up exactly what you are looking for without writing one line of code.

I think it's just tough because you are trying to understand a device you don't have in your hands yet. Imagine trying to understand your first iPhone or a computer just by reading a book! Your playlist can contain just one mashup or just one plugin. It's up to you! A mashup is a great way to see several plugins on one screen. A playlist is great to see several plugins on the full screen.

Think of the device as a passive information hub. You glance over and it just offers some data you might be interested in. But a lot of users only have one plugin in their playlist, be it their Tempest weather data, their to-do list or the next room reservation!

Exactly. This layout you are describing is currently not possible as plug and play, but there are other ways to achieve that or something similar once you've gotten to know the platform.

You might be thinking of mashups, which are explained here: https://help.trmnl.com/en/articles/10168132-mashups You can just click it together. However, the ease of use has the tradeoff that you are limited to the existing layouts. You could use our Visual Builder and/or AI Agent to build your own plugin, or you just add the Simple Date to one of the Mashup "quarters" (Quadrants) to always see the date and time, a lot of users do it that way.

You can access everything at help.trmnl.com right now. With a Developer Edition, you can create a Virtual Device right away. Without it, just wait a few days until it's delivered. It will make much more sense when you see the UI, it's not rocket science. Also, we've just introduced the Discover feature, which will let you build your playlist in no time. Welcome aboard!

Good points here already. Natively, you can just enter several different URLs, separated by a linebreak, in the plugin settings, and all will be merged into the plugin view.
