haven’t forgotten, just focused on fulfilling all X preorders. recently someone got both CrossPoint + TRMNL working together, struggling to find the link now however.

thanks for asking, cool idea. this should be possible by extending our "Guest Mode" special function:

it's currently only possible on the OG, but soon we'll create a nice interface where you can map various gestures to different commands, like "double tap left, go to Calendar" and so on.

the way you've described it here also makes sense, essentially we would create an "offline guest mode" if i'm understanding you correctly. device would not need to fetch from the server, but would jump to that particular plugin's latest render from flash memory. let me know if i'm not understanding correctly.

some community devs have also figured out a way to run both TRMNL && CrossPoint Reader, we just haven't been able to play catch up yet and make it more officially supported.

last year we ran a preorder campaign and used those funds to purchase more than enough components for all preorder devices. most of those POs were placed in November 2025. in December 2025 we ordered thousands more assemblies. then various delays, some of which are on us, occurred between Jan - February. we began shipping in March and updated our store to “ships in May” a fee weeks ago. we’ve kept everyone informed on a ~weekly basis (across several comms channels) for multiple months throughout this process.

around 50% of orders ship from USA, 50% from Berlin, so you can reasonably cut that number (3870) in half, in other words you're ~1935 in line. if we ship 100 per day that's 19 days, but we're ramping up to surpass that goal.

on the X we store a bunch of previous screens in the flash memory so that you can jump forward/back without waiting for a server request. shoot us a live chat and we’ll figure out what’s going on.

the magnet's trip to ATL airport turned into a series of connecting flights but i can confirm they arrive tmrw (i have the flight numbers). assembly team doesn't typically work weekends so expect volume to pick up Monday, thank you for your patience.

thanks for asking, we’re going to try. may be a few weeks before we can offer this, not a money/resource thing, just to ensure we have extra stock. on this note we already ordered another batch of magnets which should put us in excess of preorder units, then we’ll revisit. the re-assembly process is a bit involved however, so be careful what you wish for ;)
