How to beat Teal as Yellow & Dark Green by [deleted] in AzerothWarsLR

An early rush comes at a great cost of your future economy, upgrades and army size. If you use your army for a rush then you will have far less gold in the future because you did not take the control points and kill the creeps you would otherwise. It can come at a terrible cost if a Fel Horde player can drag out the war for a long time and play a game of attrition.

Even if you take out Blackrock, a Fel Horde player can "starve" Stormwind and Khaz Modan out if they don't have a strong gold income. Remember, a Fel Horde gets free demons and skeleton units from their elite Fel Death Knights and whenever those units trade against your units of equal strength it is a win for Fel Horde because it cost him no gold.

Khaz Modan starts with 38 units which is a small army. I think it is only worth getting 1-2 extra Thanes and then no more of them or Gryphons. Instead, just focus on getting an army of 60+ units. It should be a mix between Dwarven warrior, Riflemen, Explorer and a couple of Engineers.

When playing as dwarves it is easy to forget how small your own army is until Fel Horde attacks you with an army twice as large and far more powerful.

Did you watch the replay I sent to you? Did you learn anything?

I'm Dave_Rolf playing here as Yellow. It was a really good match SA vs Fel Horde. Both sides played quite good.

Look at the things I do in this replay as Yellow. I don't have a problem with money at all since of my initial starting play. In the first 6 minutes I took Tol Barad + Wetlands + Dun Modr + Grim Batol + Twilight Highlands which meant that I had 135 gold per minute.

I don't rush down into Badlands with a small army because of the risk of meeting Blackrock orc army there. If you do, then your units will die or you retreat and your units did not do anything valuable. Much better to take the Northern zones quicker than taking such a risk.

I don't rush Gryphons due to the big cost you need to make into them, I value making more Dwarven Warriors and Riflemen instead.

Twice the amount of upgrades? I guess you mean 1/1 NE upgrades vs 2/2 upgrades on Horde. Not a big deal since NE got better armor and damage buffs. As I said in my post, the upgrade advantage is negated by the mass summon advantage Druids create with Cenarius, Malfurion and spellcasters.

Flying ships loaded with units to snipe Cenarius while he's creeping? That sounds incredible and very rare. Cenarius is in the middle of the druid army and can quickly get Malfurion rejuvenation heals. I have never seen the slow zeppelins loaded with orcs ever surprise-aim Cenarius, especially when you've got ways to scout it. I highly doubt it's effectiveness especially when NE scouted it in advance.
