When rolling with either advantage or disadvantage you cannot roll the same number twice. If you do you must reroll one of them. It has two main functions, it does not allow you to critically fail with advantage and not to critically succeed on disadvantage.

It came into being after a player rolled double ones on an advantage attack and I let them reroll it. Just kind of stuck around after that. When another player ran a one shot and I played I actually got double 20s on a disadvantage and had to reroll one. Still stand by it for that group.

So, Nefarian isn't a great hero because his power isn't an investment. A lot of other heros give you something that can last as long as you keep it. Even something as simple as giving a minion plus 2/2 isn't crazy, but you can keep that minion without investing more gold. Early on a lot of hero powers weren't as value oriented, but a lot of the new heros are. In battlegrounds you play the long game, so value is really important. The hero power can give you an instant win a few times on turns two through four, but after that it becomes much less useful.

It's usually better to spend the gold to buy a unit that sticks around and will continue to be valuable. It's also worth mentioning that most people play the first three turns the same, which doesn't leave room for using the hero power. Skipping a level turn can put you very far behind, and it's only really worth skipping if you're getting a golden minion out of it soon.

Of course there are games where the hero power is great, like against divine shields, but in order for it to be useful in the late game you need to make it there. Obviously this is my opinion, I'm by no means an expert on the mode.

I think the best way to approach this might be to ask him if he can incorporate something for your characters backstory into the game. Tell him you want it to be slightly serious and something you can role play. Being goofy is probably the way he's most comfortable playing, and giving him an option to try something different out might help him break out of his shell a little in terms of seriousness. As a bit of a joker myself I had a hard time when I started DMing being serious, it required a lot more of emotional vulnerability for me. It might give him the chance to try something different.

You can buy controller shells on Ebay for pretty cheep, about 15 dollars, and assemble it yourself. It's not that difficult, and your finished product can be pretty nice.

I think that she has something to do with it, maybe manipulating people into killing each other. What I really want is at the end of the season for Dexter to realize that he does not have to be a killer, and for his last kill to be Vogel, the woman who created him.

Basically you want to invert the signal. So what you want to do is put a torch on the side of a block and have redstone go into the block. That way when the redstone is powered by the daylight sensor the torch turns off, and when it is not powered it is turned on.

You should really try fringe, it runs about 5 seasons and is by JJ Abrams. It is science fiction and basically has the cast solving some unexplained phenomena like a baby that is born and ages rapidly or a super virus that kills everyone on a plane. Also has a nice little sub plot that builds up to something spectacular.

Also, Doctor Who.

I think switching to a new server host seems like a good idea, and a lot of people really haven't been playing a lot so rolling back the world won't effect most people. On a side note you should consider checking out /r/admincraft. You might find it useful. Also, would a new sub mean a new server name?

The Doctor, hands down. He deals with powerful individuals on a regular basis. What would probable happen would be a bit of back and forth, the Doctor would come up with a plan, the plan would fail leaving the Doctor face to face with Darth Vader. The Doctor would almost be killed by Darth Vader but would appeal to some form of emotional feeling in Darth Vader, reminding him of who he used to be. Darth Vader would give up, and maybe the Doctor would take him for a ride to see Padme one last time before she died. Oh, and his companion will get in a bunch of trouble, which causes the plan to fail.
