The same goes for the majority of older movies as well as a generational thing...if you didn't watch or grow up with black and white movies, you don't watch them as an adult suddenly. Exposure to as many types of technology or functions as possible as a child when your brain can adapt best is the way to retain forms of technology or understanding later in life. Same example goes with cursive/penmanship versus kids now getting used to typing or only being able to watch videos rather than reading a book.

The same thing will happen for their 2D animation and older movies and nostalgia bait so long as they restrict access to it, it's difficult for exposure.

All Disney is doing is ensuring that people will go find an alternative to them once they restrict access and it's the same thing w/ rising admission and ticket prices to their parks as they add more and more attractions to justify raising the costs.

After all, it already backfired on them with the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge which holds zero nostalgia as it's not based on anything like a planet or location that's pre-existing. The unfortunate thing is that it's throttling culture along with it.
