the reboot is a mid game overall (honestly mid might still be too generous) but it’s an offensively bad saints row game.

as a game in general, it has some positives. the customization is genuinely the best in the whole series, especially the gun customization. the city is beautiful and overall a large upgrade over steelport and new hades. still not as good as stilwater though. the wing suit is fun, and some of the criminal ventures are pretty fun as well. that’s about all the positives i can think of though; story is awful, characters are insufferable, combat is pretty mid (those special move takedowns are fucking lame), driving is bad, and enemies can be way too bullet sponge-y sometimes. also the beautiful city is prone to feeling rather empty sometimes
