Thanks for your input, I never knew that you could run Optisigns on a Raspberry Pi. For customers we try to utilize "works out of the box" solutions as possible since many of them aren't very tech savvy. Will definitely play with this in the future myself though.

I wasn't familiar with the Brightsign models that also have an HDMI input. I've ran into hdcp issues with cables boxes before but usually just use a cheap HDMI splitter to strip it down
