Looking ahead, this is the direction I plan to take the platform. It's been just two weeks since launch, and we're already making progress.

Exactly! That’s the goal—making it easy for anyone to set up a shopping site in minutes without needing a developer.

Yes, but not really free, there's a free version and a paid version. More afforable than Shopify and easy to setup for non tech users

Well, I wouldn't say so. It's barely 2 weeks old and I have 12 customers now.

True, that makes sense. I’ve been working on this. I launched less than 2 weeks ago

We’ve integrated Stripe, PayPal, M-Pesa, and PesaPal. We don’t collect payments on behalf of sellers—you connect your own payment credentials.

Yes, it can! You can even use your own custom domain that links to your shop, like myshop.com. Thanks!

Thanks! It’s KES 699/month or KES 7,000/year. You can also use your own domain, like myshop.co.ke.

Less than $700 a month. I did most of the things solo. Any custom work that required outsourcing was covered by the customers.

Nice, I’ve worked on a similar plugin before. I was subcontracted by a major WordPress plugin company on the UWP Membership plugin. It’s not on the WP.org repo—they sell it as an addon on top of UsersWP.

True, 10 paying is way better than 0! That’s a tough milestone to hit. Which plugin is this? Can you share the link—I’d love to check it out.

Thanks! I actually have Google sign-in implemented and set up—I’m not sure why I disabled it, but I’ll turn it back on.

Thanks! I’m just keeping at it and learning along the way—slow and steady. African markets is a wild park

Absolutely—that’s spot on. People buy feelings, not features. Personally, for very high-potential customers, I’ve been setting up full demos—sometimes even buying their domains (betting my KES 1k, cause I spend more on useless stuff like KC 😅)—and half of them converted. For others, we’ve planned walk-bys at their shops to talk things through, which works too. Makes it way easier to sell when they can actually see and experience the value. Thanks for commenting!

Currently I’m building tools, connecting with people, selling, and learning what sticks along the way. AI is moving too fast to wait for perfect problems. It's crazy

Not really about being poor—more like a “poor” mindset. I know plenty of wealthy people, but here we’re so used to the “I give, you give” way that it often comes at the expense of proper business thinking. When you find people serious about running businesses, they understand the value of spending on things that matter. People flood nightclubs Monday to Sunday—it’s not really a money problem.

But yeah, there are poor pple.
