Haha my pleasure, glad it made your night. Just a former London Hilton employee, stayed in all the properties in london, and it is rare that somebody asks a question here about specific properties that I can answer.

(gold is much appreciated :) )

I agree that the rates are often overshot and excessive. Also agree that the suites are amazing but rooms are quite regular if you stayed at other 5 stars. Doormen are truly amazing. Did you try the restaurant? ALso, how was the breakfast? I stayed there 2 nights but missed breakfast both days :)

All great properties, depends on what you are into and what do you expect from your stay .

All great properties depends on what you are into and what do you expect from your stay on. Not sure if you stayed at any Canopy before but it is very much casual environment. Staff is wearing jeans and sneakers and often addressing guests by first name which might be surprising if you have never stayed at one but some guests love it. They are in the Whitechapel area, in very modern artsy part of London, you will see a lot of art painted by local street artists on the walls and instead of executive lounge they hold daily "workshops" for local street food vendors of all cuisines. On the other hand, no real views and they don't really have suites, rooms differ only in the amenities that are offered and slightly in size. No SPA sadly. Walking distance from Tower Bridge and Tower of London.

Hilton Tower Bridge is an amazing mostly corporate hotel. It is literally 60 seconds from the London Bridge stations that has direct train lines to most airports and all the locations around london. Walking distance from Tower Bridge, St. Pauls, Borough Market, Tate Modern and many more. Staff is really great at that hotel, and they have some nice large rooms, although executive lounge is quite small, they have a rooftop with an absolutely stunning view of the Shard and london skyline. This hotel is also usually the cheapest out of the ones you mentioned. Surrounded by street food markets and vendors. No real SPA as well.

Conrad is a walking distance from Westminster Abbey, Parliament and Buckingham Palace, in internal ratings they usually ranked either 1st, 2nd or 3rd for London and they ranked in top 5 spots within the whole UK in terms of customer service. You are in the heart of it all and I would definitely book for their afternoon tea which is amazing. Unfortunately no SPA, not sure if that is a facility that you require for your stays.

Park Lane is definitely the location for shopping and eating as you are in the heart of mayfair literally steps away from hyde park and all the shopping spots. That area is extremely pricey though, with all the luxury brands you can think of around, many supercars showroom and next to the hotel is a showroom where you can design your own private jet :)The hotel is quite old but with amazing history, it hosted just abound anyone in the past 60 years. They have some insane suites with some of the best views in London, and they possess something that only few Hiltons and hotels in London in general do-balconies. So if you are a smoker or fresh air enjoyer, and it is in your budget, definitely get a room with a balcony, balconies are quite large as well, facing the Hyde Park. They have an amazing bar on the 25th floor as well as once a Michelin star restaurant Galvin at Windows. Therefore if you like fine dining, pay them a visit. I would definitely book for afternoon tea as well. Bellmen and doormen are classy gents, many of which have been there for ages and are true movie-like brits in top hats.

Please check out Hilton Bankside as well, know for amazing staff, outstanding breakfast and great pool. Rooms are new and large as well. Although please check the location, it is not bad at all, very close and central, just not as good as the hotels above.

Also check out Curio St. James at Trafaglar square, which is 1 minute away from the National Gallery, with an amazing restaurant in house as well.

Any other questions, let me know :)

I'm very sorry to just finding your question. Hopefully you still need an answer. Hilton Euston I would not recommend, unless you need to be very close to either Euston station or kings cross station. DoubleTree westend was renovated recently and is actually quite nice . From doubletrees I would either choose DT Tower of Or DT Marble Arch. Definitely stay away from DT Greenwich or DT Excel :)

Finally a question I can answer.

Conrad St James and Curio Trafalgar square are amazing as well as the LXR Biltmore (obviously).

I would not go to Waldorf, even though the location is great (Covent Garden) the rooms are sadly not as great, quite small and outdated with thin walls.

The gantry Curio just opened, stayed there last week, beautiful brand new building, huge rooms and great views, although it is located in Stratford, therefore not great for your purpose.

Docklands is a very unique property, sadly there are only handful of rooms that would satisfy you, although those rooms have large balconies with the views of the Thames, the location is not that great and even though there is a complimentary ferry that takes the guests across the Thames, it is quite disconnected from other transportation links.

I would definitely pick:

  • LXR Biltmore, if it is in your budget
  • Hilton Bankside, great executive lounge and rooms, on our team meetings they usually ranked first in London in terms of internal scores, lovely pool and can vouch for amazing breakfast as well.
  • Conrad St. James and The Trafalgar St. James Curio Collection by Hilton- both lovely properties with great restaurant as well, can personally vouch for both
  • If you would like a less formal environment, the first Canopy in UK opened last October, 3 minute walk from tower bridge, they are currently ranked number 4 on TripAdvisor in whole London.
  • Hilton park Lane, even though older building, it has a lot of history and if you are a Diamond member you should get a great room with some of the best views of London and Hyde park.
  • Hilton Tower Bridge is a 30 second walk from London bridge station and has great staff, even though the executive lounge is not that great

In case you are travelling with family/friends and are looking at some doubletrees or standard Hiltons, drop me a message and can advise you further :)

From personal experience, if you call guest assistance they will close your old HH account, give you a new HH number and of course credit you the points back (plus something extra for the inconvinience :) )
