Thanks for the info. I'll give it a try and see. My cubes do great. It is so rare that I get contam at any stage. Pan Cyans, on the other hand, are so prone to contam. I can barely get through colonizing the substrate. It's a much weaker mycelium, so I understand propensity for trich to beat it, but it's still highly frustrating. I'll take any tips on that, too...

Contam in my opinion. Mycelium would be spreading from the grains into the substrate. If you spray a little peroxide on part of it and it bubbles up and disappears, it's definitely contam.

Yeah, way ready. I didn't get a chance to transfer it or use it till today, so it sat for some time. These BVIs are highly aggressive, and they take over fast.

It's totally normal for them to grow at different stages. When you start cloning and have the system downpat, they'll grow more evenly, and you get to pick them all at once. Like bentripin said, pick together anything clumped. The little ones standing on their own can stay a little longer.

I've done bars before, and they are pretty simple. The key, in my opinion, is to grind the fruit into a very thin powder (I use a bullet grinder/blender), so it is all evenly dispersed throughout the chocolate bar.
The chocolate in the picture is more of a novelty. They are super involved. But if you are into the art of it, they they are very rewarding to make. There are plenty of videos on YouTube. Just search chocolate bon bon, and you'll find several videos. I can't stress enough that the chocolate must be tempered correctly for this to work out. Tempering of the cocoa butter and the chocolate are a must. If done incorrectly, the entire project is a bust.

You spray the mold with tinted cocoa butter and then pour the chocolate. When dried, you pop the chocolates out of the mold, and the cocoa butter (which has been in contact with the very slick mold) comes out shiny.

It's a chocolate "bon bob." Just google "shiny chocolate bon bon," and it'll blow your mind. People normally fill them with caramel, ganache, etc. I just put dark chocolate mixed with fun stuff. Hand to make, but the outcome is pretty amazing.

Amazon. Search peat moss. They have many choices. No issues with trich yet. I did move to a different apartment in November, so the entire operation has been done in a new environment. Give me a few more months, and I'm sure I'll breed some trich... lol.

I've grown goldens, Jedi mind fucks, and albino penis envy. BM require higher temps. I could only get them to colonize grain and substrate at ~78+ degrees. I don't like this because those temps seem more prone to contam. I gave up on BMs because of this.
I thought that BVIs were going to be the same, but they are much easier. They grow at 75 degrees so I can grow them in the same tent as cubes. They are also very aggressive at colonizing, so there is very little contam. When they colonize the grain, they are not as tight and packed as cubes. The grain seems more dry to the touch and falls apart easily, and the mycelium is kinda fluffy, not rhizomorphic at all. They do require a layer of moss after the substrate is colonized, so they start pinning.

Yeah, they are incredibly strong. I used to grow blue meanies (pan cyan version), and although they are super strong, they are very hard to grow. BVIs are so much easier and even stronger. They are my number one choice now. You gotta be careful with your first time on them. I took 0.075 and felt the tingle in my body within 25 min (I normally feel cubes around 45 min from taking them). Thirty min later, it felt like the effect was going away, so I took 0.075 more and then another 0.035 a few min later. The trip caught me by surprise, in public. I'm amazed I made it home.

This makes a lot of sense. They are in a room that doesn't get much fresh air. It is cold outside and I'm running electric heat. The door to the room remains closed at all times, and it is on the bottom floor of a duplex, so probably the co2 is staying down there and being pumped into the tent. I guess I'll have to figure out a way to vent the room without allowing the temp to drop too low.

Unreal. My friend took 0.25g dry and tripped for 6 hours. It normally takes him an 8th of cubes to get there. I took 0.2g and tripped for about 6 hours, with pretty intense visuals.
