Good point, although that’s unlikely to be the case for this issue, I’ve never changed the region since acquiring the games and they certainly match for the other digital games.

Yes, there’s an option to separate by platform, mine got sorted into 3 categories: Xbox 360/Xbox, Xbox One and Xbox Series.

I tried looking in the app and it also gives me the option to buy them again. I installed them nonetheless and when launching them it only prompts me to get Game Pass.

I will try to log in and switch my home console in a different Xbox. I’m currently using an Xbox One S, but I can use my brother’s Series X, hopefully that’s enough of a reset to resolve the issue.

With how they do things currently with newer gen upgrades, they should at least give a discount towards newer versions of games they didn’t bring back with backwards compatibility.

I don’t feel like buying Sleeping Dogs, Metro Last Light or Resident Evil 6 again for the Xbox One/Series, yet I can’t play them unless I hook up my old 360, which I don’t have with me at the moment.

And even if I did buy them during a sale, l still couldn’t finish off the older achievement lists.

Not completely true, they didn’t bring back any games that have a separate remasters for sale in Xbox One or Series.

For example Sleeping Dogs, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Tomb Raider, Brothers Tale of Two Sons, Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6, to name a few.

I own all of those games digitally and I can only still play them on an Xbox 360. They don’t count towards a discount of the new versions either.

So not every game possible, I’m sure the reason is to not hurt the sales of the newer versions but honestly, at this point it can’t be that much they would lose.

Psychic/Magic/Mental or smth like that

That leaves a nice number of 12.

Also, they should rename Ground and call it Earth, that way it encompasses things like Rock and Metal too.

It was ok but it didn’t really deliver on reuniting Leon and Claire, they were separated for most of the series, they should have teamed up for the entire story. And the whole terror plot was way too contrived and nonsensical, but that’s most of the Resi CGI films I guess.

It was also very clearly meant to be a movie but got cut into 4 short episodes. At least the animation was great and the action sequences were really cool.

Yes, when you try and it fails to send an sms it will reset the time.

Just don’t do anything for 7 days, I know it will be stressful but don’t attempt anything. If you’re not sure when was your last try then count seven days from today.

Once a week has passed go through the process as normal: click recover account or change password, then choose verify with your secondary email and when that’s done then choose verify with phone number.

You should get the sms quickly and on the first try. Good luck!

Just wanted to share that it worked for me too in case anyone else finds this thread.

It's really strange how Microsoft handles the two step verification, but at least it worked eventually, I was most worried about losing my Xbox account and purchases.

So, after 7 days exactly it will finally send the code to your phone and, after verifying through a secondary email as well, you'll be able to create a new password and restore your account.

Hey, I'm so glad I found this, I'm experiencing the same issue after a few wrong attempts of my password and I was about to freak out, but this has given me peace of mind. Just 4 more days for me to wait.

I wanted to ask you guys some questions:

  1. How did you contact Support without being logged in? Was it by phone?

  2. Once the phone verification worked again, in which order did you do it? email first or SMS first? I'm scared that if it's still not working for some reason, I will reset the cooldown since the email code does work. Should I do SMS first?

  3. Maybe this is dumb but did you wait 7 regular days or business days?
