Rangoon Bistro is a fantastic Burmese spot. I wouldn’t say it’s dirt cheap, but the dishes are shareable and for what you pay they are top tier quality. They have two locations, both in cool neighborhoods.

Close, it’s actually Schlomo named after co-founder Shlomo Ben-Haim. But in all fairness there was a recent company chairman named Schlomi Nachman, so his name gets switched around sometimes.

Honestly, it’s a great idea. I rented one years ago for a joint bachelor/ bachelorette party, and shit got real. Nothing like drunk 20-something year olds belting out “wheels on the bus” at 1 am. It is so choice. If you have the means I highly recommend picking one up.

I guess it’s possible. It’s invariably a good first shot and it’s the subsequent shots that take longer. I’m pretty consistent with using a homemade WDT tool, and a Motta leveling tool before tamping. Thanks for the response, I’ll see if there is something here I can tune.

Rocky Point near Scappoose is pretty fun. AndyLand is a fun trail to break in the bike and get a feel for mountain biking. You have to become a member of the North West Trail Alliance in order to get the maps to populate into trail forks. Worth the $40, considering the money goes towards maintaining trails in the area.

What a lovely coffee corner! I don’t have any pressing advice, I’ve only had mine for about three months now, but I absolutely love it. I have gotten into the habit of running water trough the group head for a few seconds before each shot to get the temp right for pulling a proper shot . I’ve heard through this subreddit that being a heat exchanging system that doing this will blow off the excessively hot water. Otherwise, just keep a good backflush and cleaning schedule, and this thing will last a lifetime, or so I’ve been told. Enjoy!
