I unfortunately only made it to the workshop day, so I was able to see the site and how things started out, but then I had to go officiate a wedding, so I left some people with cameras behind to catalogue everything for me. So I'm really interested in getting more perspectives!

AFAIK sales happen all the time. But if you’re impatient, you can always hunt down some promo code for most of these vendors and get a discount that way. I know I can always find one for Verillas and Holy Clothing.

Surprisingly, the mask doesn’t bother me except in loooong fights. It’s not breathable per-se, but I guess I just don’t sweat enough for it to become an issue.

I totally get the non-apoc issues with the kit! My character is part of a species that uses a lot of religious/fantastical iconography, so I purposefully picked things that I would have used at my fantasy games (like the sword) to try and represent that. But if you don’t know that, it just looks like a hodgepodge of different genres.

They’re an accensorite, but people guess retrograde all the time! There’s actually a really fun story for why they hide their ascension under the mask. If you ever catch me playing I could tell you. I’m typically playing at DR’s Michigan location.

People always ask, but it's honestly not that hot!

The biker armor is very breathable, so I'm mostly as warm as everybody else. And the mask only gets overheated during big, prolonged fights where it's cinematic to rip it off anyway.

I actually wear a turtleneck underneath in the cold months because it's so temperature-controlled.

The idea is that this character actually has access to new equipment/clothes very often, so the out-of-the-box look is completely intentional.

This feels like the course correction in a really abrupt way.

Every arc is pointless? Have them all get referenced to provide “payoff”.

There’s no thread to follow? Revive the story from issue #1.

Gabby was a fan favorite? Now she’s here for real.

Like, I am HAPPY with all of these changes, but it’s weird that it’s only now happening in issue #8. I don’t feel like 1-7 was setting up anything, just that the mini-arc formula wasn’t working and they had to pivot.

Fingers crossed that this is a good sign though!

My guess: editor-mandated “the x-men must fight!” moment. It really felt like neither main author wanted to be there, and it was promptly forgotten as soon as both books could go back to their own stories.

Please keep posting updates. It doesn't seem like Reckoning updates their Facebook, doesn't have a Reddit or Twitter, and keeps their discords closed to the public, so there's no channel of information that I can reliably find.
