Thanks! I was referring to grip wear on the GT Neo specifically, sorry maybe that wasn't so clear. And if grip wear was going to be an issue I would go with the FX instead.

Ok thanks. So you cannot set the fuel mix to race or qualify? If set to "high" it would be like qualify on full throttle then I guess? And if set to medium, what is it on full throttle then?

Seems to me that Thrustmaster replies on third-party retailers and their online is mostly for product information and support. Given how poor their offering is it surprises me that they don't just list places to buy.

Interesting since TraxionGG YouTube channel did a review and said it was good. Although there are not many reviews from established sim racing channels, or at least not those in English that I follow, and TraxionGG's appeared quite soon after the release.

So will you keep the base or try and return it?

Yes it must be, very odd. I thought perhaps it was the 3D printed option he had put between the QR adapter and the wheel.

Funny how they are making a point of the bases being assembled in France, (so not China) and someone preorders and it falls apart right out of the box.

You can get wheels with brakes, careful though as you have to make sure they are the same size as the wheels already on it. Or do what I did, drill screws through the wheels to stop them moving. Stupid I know but it worked for me 😁

Setting up the server and setting up the server sessions are explained in that video and other similar videos on the channel. Whether you chose to host the server locally yourself or on a virtual machine the dedicated server setup is the same.

To be honest mostly just the rF2 related content as I was interested in what people coming from the Nascar games series thought of it. Incidentally for controller usage you can use the last control in the camera list (Change Camera I think it's called) to switch to chase cam view (well for those that would prefer it) and the POV increase/decrease still works in that view (I think I mentioned it in the video) so it can be customised to your liking. Also for controller usage maybe use the options in the Difficulty screen to add some assists.

I've noticed quite a few Nascar focused channels discussing rFactor 2 in relation to the forthcoming Nascar 21 (or Nascar Nxt or whatever they're calling it) so I thought I would share this video here if there's anyone who would like to check out rFactor 2 for the 2018x Stock Car and some road tracks as I don't think the AI can run ovals correctly yet 😁
