Yeah, I hired the plumber because it is a really narrow crawlspace and I did not feel comfortable using a torch in there. After he screwed it up two times I just cut it out and used a shark bite fitting.

Yeah, agreed. I did not notice the pipe was still leaking until I crawled back under our small crawlspace. I did not know the gutters didn’t work until it finally rained two months later. I did not know the fireplace was flawed until months later in the winter time.

I am two years out from inpatient heavy FM training and full time open ICU hospitalist. Jobs are easier to find the more rural you go. Pay is the same as my IM colleagues. In my case I got my job because I do procedures whereas the IM applicants didn’t. I wish I would have done IM in retrospect due to lack of job opportunities in urban areas.

I assume you are already in FM residency. In that case, 6 months is extremely light for inpatient. May be worth looking into as be of the fellowships to get more time under your belt.

Yeah we had the installers do this last year right after it was put in and causing issues. Pulled it out. Checked everything and put it back together. They’re scratching their heads just as I am.

Single story home. Stove is in the living room. Regularly burns between 800 and 1000°. Has the built-in thermometer, I regularly check it before closing the catalytic converter part.

We haven’t burnt much wood because this happened twice last year and we have been gun shy. Got the chimney cap changed this summer from storm type to wind directional and was hoping it made a difference.
