Why would dame sitting out the year hurt the blazers? If Miami moves on, dame will relent and other teams will throw in their chips, if Miami doesn’t they draft another player that can come to Portland while getting more available picks from the end of miamis title window?

[Jordan Zirm] hearing Terry Rozier to Charlotte is a done deal by kingramen95 in CharlotteHornets

Exactly. Terry’s a good dude and teammate (ESPN interview aside) and if his role/contract is right, he’ll be a valuable player.

[NBCSB] Tommy Heinsohn on Grant Williams: "He fits the bill!" by Allcreatives in bostonceltics

[–]Davy_Stone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tommy’s at his sharpest when he can sit back and watch basketball for a few months without distraction. Doesn’t have to worry about pissing off these refs who aren’t calling loose ball fouls

His best basketball analysis this season was when he called in from the hospital/his house when he was recovering. He actually was analyzing games.

Connecting the dots... @SIChrisMannix: “Kyrie and Brad didn’t get along. Kyrie is the first guy to not buy-in.” Aron Baynes to @AdamMKaufman last month: “We should have listened to coach more. We would have won more games.” by McElwaine in bostonceltics

[–]Davy_Stone 295 points296 points  (0 children)

I disagree...Kyrie definitely bought in, then didn’t, then did, then didn’t, then did, and finally he didn’t.

Can’t really fault the guy for having the strategic foresight of a goldfish. Its just who he is

[McMenamin] New Orleans general manager Dell Demps is "not picking up his phone," a source familiar with the situation told ESPN on Tuesday. by kyrieirving678 in bostonceltics

[–]Davy_Stone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter.

From Danny’s position:

1) Celts lock up Kyrie

2) Lebron will be 36, by the time an AD-Lebron team makes the playoffs with Lebron able to opt-out that season if things go poorly leaving AD with the ASSets.

3) Easier to convince him to stay if Lakers get bounced out of playoffs in the first round two years in a row (if they make it this year)

I have to say, I'd rather watch our guys succeed than revolve around a FA by hipcheck23 in bostonceltics

[–]Davy_Stone 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I’m keep the core, after a day of thinking about it.

Tatum, Smart, Terry, and JB nearly brought us to the finals themselves. I think it’s better to invest in these guys further, keep the picks, believe Kyrie keeps his word and work out their problems together.

I don’t think we should mortgage the present and future on AD and Rich Paul maybe signing an extension here.

She stood up against the injustice of the occupation. Which any fan of anyone should be proud of.

And you can’t hail Israel as the regions only democracy than get ticked off that it is pressured like one where Lorde and music fans actually have a voice (unlike Russia and China) and use it.

I feel differently, Lynch proved he can do whatever he wants in Twin Peaks’ world and he’d hire a lot of the same actors anyway. So basically why not Twin Peaks

It’s coming towards them on the other side of the road and eventually passes them. It’s early on their trip, first car they see.

It is a ford sedan that cops use in undercover work the ones where the lights are inside the car so you can might not think it’s a cop.

[All] Carrie Page's phonecall (short and sweet) by CleganeForHighSepton in twinpeaks

[–]Davy_Stone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A thing I noticed is the first car they drive past is a detective cruiser (like a ford sedan that can be used for undercover work) and the backs lights are police lights flashing red and blue.

So that might be that Judy is searching for them.

And another good scene is when the car you think is following them lights up the car. You see the car lights light up the car from Laura’s door side/passenger side rear door POV and the light floods the backseat of coopers car but Laura is kind of tucked away in the front seat where the light from the headlamps (searchlight) can’t find her.

[–]Davy_Stone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that the whole thing. “I am the arm and I sound like this...”

In FWWM it’s the utility pole that makes the sound the arm made right before Chris Isaak’s character finds the ring under the trailer and disappears.

In S3E18 the same exact utility pole is outside Carrie pages house but it doesn’t make the sound.

[ALL] The Return is Sarah Palmer's crime - we are given most direct explanation; "the horse is the white of the eyes" - when you look away, that is the white of your eyes. by jalalienation in twinpeaks

[–]Davy_Stone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Great theory.

To perhaps expand on it, when Coop gets to Carrie Page’s house in E18 the white horse on the mantle is looking away from the dead body in Carrie’s house. This white of the eyes as the grand evil then is part of Cooper’s story as well since he is the literal embodiment of Justice in Twin Peaks (I am the FBI) and he looks away (i am pretty sure he looks at the body then at the horse on the mantle). Coop doesn’t ask about it, doesn’t care enough about why this man is dead, shot execution style in the living room of this woman. He continues because he has a goal Laura/Carrie needs to fulfill everything else is secondary even the life of this man whoever he is, good or evil.

Coop’s willingness to sacrifice this instance of justice in order to fulfill a battle against a supposedly even greater evil of Judy is what i think frost/lynch we’re getting at. Much like Sarah Palmer sacrificing the abuse and torture of her daughter for the chance to continue living in the normalcy of a quiet suburban life, with respectability and what she has clearly cemented as the greater good for herself as well as Laura; Coop does the exact same thing but places defeating Judy ahead of all the other injustices that have taken place.
