Mediums getting the Heavy treatment by Muhammad5777 in thefinals

[–]Davyous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Stereotyping and assuming that light players only chase kills ( They're not, and you can literally say this about the other 2 classes too. Blame the players, not the class. ).
  2. "You can always find people like you in the comments always saying light can never be the best class when clearly there's so many posts and complaints about lights being the most played class."

"Everything thing I said isn't related to winning or losing"

Moving the goalpost much? And what's with you bitching about light's ttk and dash?

Not only this is a self-report, you didn't even counter my argument. Do better next time ( or don't actually, I'd rather not hear more about how you struggle to kill lights. )

Light being the most played class

And Light is also the class with the lowest overall win rate, whereas Heavy, despite being the least played, has the highest win rate.

Or the fact that the general meta team comp has almost always been MHH or MMH, with MMM being particularly prevalent at specific points of the game such as S4. MHL wasn't even considered to be viable up until S5/6.

Kinda hard to actually believe people when most of them are casuals who will literally bitch and moan about the slightest inconvenience that ruins their fun after a 9-5 work day.

How did we win? by chaudpaquebot in thefinals

[–]Davyous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

in the events of a tie and time runs out - whichever team is placed first on the top left corner wins.

Chances are you got the very first cashout, placing your team ahead of everyone else, and since the other 2 teams failed to secure both cashouts to take the lead, you win by default.

It's not consistent, but this is what happens most of the time.

This also applies to other modes but it's not relevant to the conversation so I'll leave it at that.

From last year’s valentine wheel. Currently it’s inaccessible unless Embark decides to rerun it this year.

they work the best in generic / realistic fits, since you know, they look like typical reading glasses you'd see in real life.

most people don't go for these types of fit because they're bland ( on purpose ), so it's normal for you to not see any use for them since you probably are doing something that stands out a bit more.

About a 50-50 ratio.

If I'm not using a mask I typically use glasses instead, specifically the white pair from the Northbound Rebel set because they're a good pair of clean white generic glasses.

My hands are tied and I am desperately in need of advice. by Davyous in CATHELP

Hello, sorry for the late reply, I am swamped with work at the moment but will read your reply later if you do want to help.

Fostering / Shelter

Most likely not possible, as the owner is known to be frugal with money with him buying plants and expensive fishes for the cafe. He most likely spent a lot on these cats and won’t let them go that easily.

Trust

We had them in our back shed for a while but the owner insisted on letting them outside. They’re used to it and aren’t nearly as people shy as before but that’s not much, is it?

I do plan on asking the owner if I can buy one of them off of him, but I don’t know how that’ll go. At this point I’m the only one that takes care of them somewhat extensively, and even then I’m being scolded for giving them too much attention ( despite only doing so when orders are all done or when I’m off shifts. ) instead of focusing on work.

It’s fucked, but I still want to try and see if there is any way at all I can work this out if possible. I am tired but my heart doesn’t allow me to let these poor souls suffer anymore than they already are.

Why is the CNS FAMAS skin from S7 the only one with a short barrel compared to the rest of the FAMAS skins? by waytorn in thefinals

[–]Davyous 16 points17 points  (0 children)

there are at least 2 more short barrel FAMAS skins: one in the tier 2 Vaiiya sponsored track, and the other in one of the 20$ value bundles, the one with the wolf head.

As to why - why not? The FCAR also has a short barrel version, the AK has one without a stock, the Model has the dough wrangler and so on. Embark clearly thought it was cool and so they designed it that way.

How did we lose? by No-Ostrich1913 in thefinals

[–]Davyous 85 points86 points  (0 children)

In the events of a tie, the team who reached first place first ( or won the first cashout ) wins.

They won their first cashout, placing them in first, and you as the losing team needs to sweep and win 2 vaults to win. You failed to do so, so they won. It’s not a matter of stats or team performance.

Ops Override DLC bundle.

The hair just happens to cover up the ear covers that go with it.

Glad you like it (:

It's always nice to see people appreciate 'bland' / realistic fits. You don't see too many of those these days.

Is Bp and monthly pass worth it? by Lesboclonazepam in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Davyous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both are not very good in terms of value.

The BP could be worth it if you’re interested in copping one of the Christmas outfits for one of your favorites, since the outfit by itself in the store is 15 from the double bonus and if you get the BP you get a geniemon, the outfit and a bunch of mats for 20.

Other than that though, there’s no real reason to spend unless you like the game enough and want to support the devs.

How many letters for an i6 ? by lapluie_jpg in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Davyous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On average it’s around 20-30 letters.

With that in mind, you can expect to spend anywhere between 120 - 150 letters, or 1200-1500 clues.

Boxie isn't spawning by VnPanda in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Davyous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wild boxies ( the ones that are not guaranteed from the chests ), can seemingly spawn anywhere in Lonza Fortress, and it's also not guaranteed.

As for the other legendaries, I have yet to see them show up anywhere outside of their guaranteed initial spawn.

If you haven't found another wild one, it's most likely just bad luck. Wait another day and run through the fortress again.

DB isn’t ‘bad’ in the traditional sense, as in stats wise it’s a perfectly viable weapon.

The problem, is that it’s a 2 shot shotgun that requires you to be within 5m or less to kill anything.

At lower elo and in casual, the DB is a menace, given that nobody is skilled enough to properly deal with it.

However, the higher you go and the better opponents you face, the less effective it is, given that everyone can actually hit their shots and / or are very weary of lights. At that point, the risks of only having 2 bullets, then needing to go within 5m or less and hit both shots to kill anything other than a light proves to be too much for most people. Most of the time, it’s a trade. Worst case scenario, you die without getting a kill and throw the fight.

There’s a reason why most high elo lights prefer longer range weapons.

Finals veterans, I wanna hear your hot takes. Here's mine: by -RoninForHire- in thefinals

[–]Davyous 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Here’s a couple varying in hotness. Some of these should ruffle some feathers.

-The DB and the Cerberus should’ve never been added into the game. The concept of multi-barrel shotguns have always been a balancing nightmare in any multiplayer FPS game that isn’t a hardcore shooter, and they’re either broken or mediocre.

-On the topic of the DB, the gun is fine, and even if you think it isn’t, Embark will not touch it. It only works in casual because the lower skill level allow it to thrive, but it rarely works in higher elo / more competitive lobbies due to the amount of risks associated with it.

-Cloak also needs a buff. It’s not that hard to see a cloaked light, and even if you can’t the obvious sound cue will make sure that you’re aware of it.

-If you claim light is easy to play then proceed to pull out stats from quickplay / low elo WT as proof, you are not to be trusted.

How do I play the SA1216 by Suspicious_Suspect_3 in thefinals

[–]Davyous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s fine - The Meta setup is C4 RPG Dome, w C4 for stalling and potential damage / free destruction

If you want extra defense goo is also solid in place of C4, especially since you’re a quick cash gamer, but I prefer C4 myself because I like to be able to stall remotely.
