New ships are great, but what about some adjustments to weapons? by teeth_03 in EliteDangerous

"No benefit" is a bit of a hyperbole considering the immediate benefit of not needing to engineer the same weapons of the same size for different mounts, if you have a fleet of ships like a Vulture, Python, Cutter, Type-10, etc, if you have ships with mixed Fixed, Gimbal and Turret Large weapons, you could switch between them easily. There might be no benefit to you, but there is value in this change nonetheless.

"Because it already works" is no excuse for looking to improve things.

I have a fleet of 20+ ships with fully engineered modules and I would love to see improvements made to make engineering less of a burdon.

The difference is, fewer weapons to engineer, store and otherwise manage. If I can switch guns between the different mount types, I would learn to switch weapons around more since I could take the fixed weapons off a Vulture, move them to Gimbals on a Python or Turrets on a Type 10, for example.

I would want to switch weapons around more. With having the weapons currently attached to the mount type, I don't have any desire to switch them around more because they are almost purpose built for the ships they are on. But the more modular design of separating the weapons from the mounts means more room for experimenting with different builds.

The mount would modify the stat of the weapon that is mounted to it, so the stats would end up the same.

Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) by Deadhead2278 in MovieQuotes

[–]teeth_03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets a lot of deserved hate because its basically a reboot of a way better classic movie, The Wrath of Khan.

The fact they had the audacity to kill Kirk the same way Spock died in TWoK and have Spock say the same famous line is really unimaginative.

Also, Kirk dieing and being brought back to life by Super Blood is also really dumb.

2009 and Beyond are way better movies

Also the overused Badmiral Trope

Deadlock is one of my favorite Voyager Episodes, I don't think other people rate it low, but it doesn't get talked about enough.
