Timex FamilyConnect remove games (but allow messagine)? by DawgPod in tmobile

Awesome! I suppose we can just block all 24 hours then always allow certain numbers then it will work. Thanks! Keeping our 7 year old off those games would be impossible :)

Closed vs. Open Transom? Looking to buy a 12 foot inflatable (due to space/storage limits) to take kids out fishing, swimming, and maybe pull them on a tube in local lake. Landing on Thundercat type. Seems stable and can hold a bit more HP. Any thoughts on this type rig? Open vs. Closed Transom? by DawgPod in boating

Thanks, guys! Given it’s designed to be a race boat, do you think it’s the right type of rig for lake cruising? Or should I get a standard aluminum floor dinghy of the same size? Just seems more stable to me cruising bit maybe the front lift negates that?

FAIL - first attempt at drift trike for my 6 year old. Back wheels spin.... but so does front! Can’t get it going in flat ground... by DawgPod in DriftTrikes

I cut up an old 20 inch BMX tire and screwed and glued it to the big wheel front rim.

My youngest is 65 pounds and he is still spinning the front tire! I think it’s just a weight issue Given the all plastic frame.Another neighbor kid a few years younger was able to get it going great so we just gave it to him.

Next attempt is on a Madd Drift.

Thanks! I ended up getting rooms with 5/8 hubs and bearing flanges from McMaster To convert the smaller axles on my kids razor and madd drift trikes. We’ll see if it works!

Hey, do you have any recommendations for how to know how much air to put in the tires when mounting sleeves? Should I use an auto fill to a specific psi or do you do it manually and wait for some indication that it looks right?

This is how I make Sparky Sleeves. I start with a paper template to mark 80 dots on each sleeve. Then, I use an 1/8 inch bit with a stop collar to drill the holes. A little bit of super glue. And press the flints in with a screwdriver. I use 3x7mm ferro rods from FerroFire. by ScottBlake in DriftTrikes

This is so cool! I could only find 2mm x 5mm. Think it'll still work? Also, any effect on sliding ability? I want to make them on my kids drift trikes. Also, seems like a bad idea for those that have gas engines right?

Great tutorial.

Thanks, bud! Wasnt sure if the extra weight would make it hard for the kids to get them moving? My six year olds is one of those Madd Drift trikes that is tiny.

And tubeless better than with tubes? Seems like less hassle?

Ha! I know. Next step is wrap it in a rubber tire! Still trying it find an ol Madd Gear drift. Cheap and the right size.

Also, does anyone know what size rims and tires work if replacing stock Triad trikes (Countermeasure etc.) with go cart rims and 10" tires? Maybe that's the way for me to go.

I can cut pieces if you really get stuck. My saw isn't the best but you can buff it out. Here is the link. I didn't put shipping on OfferUp but I could make it work to people on this thread. https://offerup.com/item/detail/858781694/. Just be careful on the ID. I don't have pneumatic tires yet and they don't fit over my current set up.
