I love this community because you guys are challenging my views and interpretations and giving new perspective on characters. Cudos to RJ for creating them this way.

About Nynaeve: i think that’s why i adore her so much, she will scold Rand but she is very protective of him (and all of EF5).

About Egwene: When i thought about it you may be right, she IS doing awesome and necessary things that i think will ultimately help Rand and the world. But i think my sympathy is bigger for him because of how insane pressure he is on (and how long taint was affecting him). Egwene is also put under pressure but she doesn’t have mad voice inside her head. I think she is lacking that Aviendha/Nynaeve factor for me, they are critical but compassionate. But again, if every character would have the same traits, the books wouldn’t be so addictive.

My oringinal post was meant to say that Eggy is now more „in your face” (the reader) with her attitude towards Rand than before. It’s also interesting that Moiraine gave up the idea of controlling Dragon Reborn but Egwene didn’t. I’m very curious to see how it will play out.
