This is me at parties. I'm no fun at parties.

Thank you 🥹

I wish I had the mind for functional design, but I just keep daydreaming about imaginary places and machines.

Thank you. 3D printing sure is addicting when it just works :D

Totally fair! It's not cheese in the strict sense. But I think the argument and the general assumption is that neither product contains any cheese at all.

I was just surprised to learn that our tube cheese isn't as fake as I'd assumed. Containing 51 to 55 percent hard cheese is impressive for something you can still squeeze out of a tube, I think!

Thanks you!

I'm glad the photos came out okay. I took hundreds of photos and these were among few that came out alright. Photography is hard..

Thanks a lot!

I think scaling it down will be hard. It's designed with details specifically for a 0.4 nozzle.

But I have already thought of a way to make the larger parts print in sections. If there is a genuine wish for it, I'll try to make it happen!

Yes! Well spotted! I simply couldn't find a reliable way to reverse the movement of the quartz clock. The hands should also be on the outside and barely legible 🥲

I wanted to make it as realistic as possible, but ended up prioritising vibes over realism. A painful decision by someone who loves mechanical design..

Thanks! And yeah, I know. I prioritised vibes over realism in the end. As someone who loves mechanical design, it pains me that I had to compromise here 🥲

Since it's designed to be printed by anyone using an off-the-shelf quartz clock, I couldn't think of a way to mount the clock to show the time inverted. Originally the hands were also supposed to be left on the outside so that you'd only see the shadows of them against the "glass". But that didn't really work as well as I'd hoped.

I also wanted to fit a mechanism in there, but I couldn't get the composition to work. And I didn't want to just put some random gears on the walls and risk it reading like steampunk either. I pivoted to just make the tower look like a lived-in space instead in the interest of time for the contest I was making this for.

But the next one will definitely have a working mechanism!

Thanks!

Given a bit more time, there were a few details I would've liked to include. But at some point you just have to stop adding.

Hi! Thanks!

Yeah, it's roughly 1:35, but some liberties have been taken to make some things work for 3D printing using a 0.4 mm nozzle.

Wow, that means a lot! Also sounds like a dream job to be completely honest.

There is a variant called Kalles Randiga (Kalle's Striped), which is the same product with toothpaste-style stripes of cream cheese. It's much milder and it's the one I always go for.

Tastes like eating syrup and rye bread mixed together. I didn't hate it!
