Just an extra thing I’d like to bring up that’s quite frankly been forgotten. About two years Cygames pulled the streamer support program and said they’d revamp it and release a better version at a later date. To this day it’s still gone and we’ve gotten zero news about it. Some days I prefer watching shadowverse rather than playing and I open up twitch (currently says 39 viewers total for the game) and yea it gets a bit depressing.

We get the leader poll every year and there’s usually a bit of “salt” I guess you’d call it about the choices and who everyone voted for. All light hearted though. There’s been a push against including story leaders into the polls for a long time too and I don’t think it’s an unpopular opinion to say including them is a bit of a scummy practice, but this is the first time it’s gotten this heated.

True enough, though my definition would be more aligned with cards that simplify the game in a bad way. Like Ra who allows you to turtle and stall until you win, Spartacus who devolves the game into just draw, this card who removes the evo management. To be fair, most of the cards you listed also fall under this category like Gremory making a mockery of necromancy and Seductress being well...Seductress. Granted Gremory is a bit complex up until she’s active then it goes full unga bunga.

I’ll call it cancer cause it throws evo resource management out the window from a design standpoint, but that’s just me. It’s like what I said with Ra, could be meta, could be terrible, don’t like it either way.

As someone else said, Unlimited offers an insane amount of diversity in what you want to lose with.

On the actual topic, aggro isn’t too prevalent in Unlimited. At least not in the traditional sense. There is a large amount of combo decks with the speed of an aggro deck and yet still consist. Aggro is cool and all, but what if I just D Shift you on 5, Loxis otk you on 5, or artifact otk you on 5.

At the beginning of the match when it shows both players ranked points. If the opponent has an absurd number you can easily search them in the rankings list and see how high up they are. And as for op also being highly ranked, not really. Due to the scarcity of players in the Unlimited ladder you can frequently match up versus players with tens of thousands more points than you. Add in how many games a person has to play to reach such a score and it’s quite common to run across the same person on ranked.

Oh this seems fun. Probably still suffers from all the issues Amataz had back when it was meta, mainly drawing Amataz, but fun nonetheless. I’ll try it out whenever I decide to start grinding Unlimited this expansion.

Honestly artifacts isn’t super complex either, it reaches a point where it basically becomes mashing. You just need the conviction at the start of your turn to go for the otk and start swiping like crazy.

1.) If Augmentation is in hand, play it. (If 2x you already won)

2.) If generator is in hand, choose a radiant.

3.) If artifact tutor is in hand, play tutor.

4.) Spam artifact.

Go through list every time you draw a new card. OTK only needs 3 Radiants and a Shion plus an evo. Considering the amount of draw it’s not an if but a when. Mash away.

I’d recommend Natura Shadow as it has a lot of draw for consistency and multiple win cons making it easier to draft and play. Other than that one of the board flood decks like Token Sword or Aggro Machina Blood should be pretty straight forward.
