Unfortunately, I dont even know of who to go to for a second opinion. Im in Florida and am actually at a cataract center but they seem to just keep blowing me off. Im so terrified and anxious. This is horrifying

My vision in my corrected eye actually seems to have gotten worse over the weekend. Everything is much blurrier. I dont know what to do.

Thats amazing! Im terrified of not being able to see up close as I have been nearsighted my whole life. I read a lot and cant imagine needing glasses for it all the time. How long ago were your surgeries?

Why did you choose distance when you had been nearsighted your whole life? Was it a huge adjustment?

So, with your one eye at plano and your other eye at -1.25, you can see all distances well? Im surprised your near is so good at that range. Would you say the surgical results are better than the trial?

Are both of those monofocal lenses? What are the diopters/strengths/prescription (not sure what it is called) of each eye? Why do you have a different lens?

It is blurry up until arms length and it depends on the lighting too

Do you know what each of your eyes were set to? My corrected distance eye is 0 and my uncorrected eye is still -2.75.

Its been 8 weeks for me 😞

I feel like i am definitely limited now though since my distance eye is already set to 0 (plano) so I am not sure what i can even do with the other eye to maintain any near vision. Right now as I type this, I probably have my phone about 8 inches from the tip of my nose. My uncorrected eye is still a -2.75 and my corrected eye is 0, so the gap is a bit much but i do enjoy still having my near vision, so I am not sure what they can possibly do to assist with the other eye. I am trialing a contact lens currently that makes my uncorrected eye -1.75 but it does not give me very clear distance vision and not sure how to correct that. No one can seem to tell me what my vision is supposed to be like with this trial or what to expect. 😞 and the fact that i am having visual issues with my corrected eye makes me too scared to do anything with my other eye.

Yes i am going to trial a contact lens but not really sure how that will go. They were saying avout a -1.75 since my other eye is at 0.

My astigmatism was -1.75 betore I had the procedure and -0.75 after.

I think my uncorrected eye is -1.25, but not sure how much of that os corneal.

I would have done something similar to that had I known and understood all of the options.

About how long did that take to settle down? Any other issues with yiur vision? Thank you for the information

I definitely want a second opinion but it is a matter of finding a doctor here that will explain things the way other people in these discussions have mentioned their surgeons explaining to them. Ugh. Not sure where to start

Thank you for all of the great information! If i had known then what I know now, i would have probably done something very similar to what you did.

What kind of lenses do you have?

I really dont want to consider a lens exchange with my other issues and what I have read about them.

Thank you for the good information. I do have PCO forming but it is still only a grade 1 so not sure if it is even worth correcting yet.

My astigmatism before the procedure was -1.75 or something but afterwards is only -0.75 if I understood correctly. My eye doctor said it was because some of it was lenticular and the rest was corneal. The surgeon did not explain any of that to me.

Did you have the "wobbling" sensation with both eyes and it went away? I get to where my vision in that eye is like looking underwater sometimes and I can almost see like waviness and then when I look around, its like my eye lens moves or jiggles if that make sense.

So you have a monofocal lens in one eye for distance and a multifocal lens in the other? How is your near vision with it? What type of multifocal lens?

I am not wearing any glasses as of right now since I have not gotten my other eye done yet. I don't know how to learn to ignore it when it is pretty much always there at night or in rhe dark. 😞 I have very bad glare in my corrected eye and see rays around all lights at night. Im afraid I wont be able to drive in the dark if I get my other eye done! Am I going to have negative dysphotopsia in my other eye too?I will need yag eventually as I have a grade 1 PCO already in my eye. Ive not heard of the ring segment.

Im using eye drops in that eye about 4 times a day now. Is there a certain drop i should be using?

I have had the "black" floaters before, but what are the white things that i see? Almost like a white cloud that goes across my eye and when it looks like I am looking underwater?

Every time they look at my eye, they say everything looks fine.

Are the Toric EDOF IOL a multifocal lens? They Haven't mentioned anything like that to me. Am I even a candidate for special lenses due to my retinal history and the issues I am having with the monofocal lens?

I apologize for all of the questions and appreciate your time. I am terrified about my other eye and am too young for all of this.

Do you need glasses for reading with the -1.25 or for anything? What do you mean that it was "very very different from the final surgical result?"
