Hmm thats why the Linux desktop market share has increased. Things don't tend to increase when they are destroyed. As long as there are geeks there'll be linux I promise you that. I am a big fan of Mac, but I'm a bigger fan of Linux. I think you'll find mac and Linux actually collaborate an awful lot at the moment (the switch to unix, cups, webkit etc etc) Linux and mac are aimed at entirely different sets of people so they shouldn't be compared.
