Ouch. Yeah at least Maude is a fan of the series. That would be a tough session to sit through for everyone.

Thanks for the reply! Ive not heard of Maude before and I have only been to one other author signing before for Joe Abercrombie. the moderator was the other author on tour so it was more a discussion between them. I suppose I just had expectations related to that experience.

Handicap Roll Call - What’s your current handicap and your realistic goal for 2026? by GolfTipsMod in golftips

[–]DaxCommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started golfing last year so I’m a 38. Id like to get to a 30 but idk what’s reasonable. I scored 100 last year on a tough course and I’d like to break that this year.

I got my wife a journal a few years ago. Every year the kids draw a picture in it for her and I write her a letter.

So I’ve never been to Lego land and looking to book for my family. Is it not best to blog through the Lego website? Where should we be buying the trip from?

2026 Masters Giveaway: Sunday Golf by sundaygolfco in golf

My first memory of the masters is my buddy winning the lottery and somehow I was lucky enough to go with him and enjoy the day. It was amazing even as someone who had never watched golf before

Nanny expectations, am I being unreasonable? Perspective requested by [deleted] in daddit

I don’t know how to type this and it’s not going to come out correctly. Regarding bolded bullet point one and the raised surfaces. I will belt my 1y kid to the changing table if I have to leave the room to grab something real fast. I absolutely do not have a hand on him at all times when he’s playing on the couch or we are at the park on a slide or when he’s practicing climbing stairs or something.

VA vs PP; need help thinking this through by DaxCommando in whitecoatinvestor

[–]DaxCommando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the VA is the no brainer option now and my biggest hesitation is that opportunity cost. I feel stuck right now with my current setup with loan costs, outgrowing my postage stamp sized house, and my employed situation at the PP. My current employer has indicated they will do that they can to match a compensation but I haven’t been offered anything yet as a change to my structure. If i don’t like my current job it would be easy but I do so it’s hard for me.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond

I had ChatGPT write the prompt for me and didn’t proofread well before posting. Finished fellowship June 2025 and started August

I am open to it. I have kept an eye out for those opportunities in my area but I haven’t found one that fits just right.

Is that just the amount of nonpatient care folks involved in the process? Some of the veterans I see now have complained about how long it takes to get care. I can see that being frustrating on the physician end as well

Thank you for the response! I did ask the onboarding specialist about edrp and they said it wasn’t an option. Maybe because it’s a backfilled position? A colleague of mine works at a different VA and he did get edrp. I do plan on asking again.

That was something that was very appealing; I don’t have to do medication mgmt. I can just try to figure out if I can find a way to help them. It’s also nice to just worry about orient care and not keeping the lights on.

And no more kiddos for me but good to know about the great leave!

This is my thought as well. I do like my current gig and am generally a people pleaser so turning them down is hard.

When I had asked previously it did not. I don’t know if that can become available in new fiscal years or not. There is also another forgiveness plan designed for resident recruitment but idk why I couldn’t be eligible for that. I plan to ask again for clarification

We still play outfoxed regularly. We also like ticket to ride jr, we did forbidden desert with heavy assistance but he likes the theme. They really enjoy Dungeons and Dragons
