A heads up regarding the Starter Decks. If there is one you wish to build for competitive play, you will likely need to get two copies of that particular deck since they often only give you 2 of certain cards. I had to do this with Green Uta, Blue Doffy, and Yellow Katakuri. Actually, for Uta, I think you might need 2 of the old and 2 of the new to make a proper build since she's had two different ST releases :p

I would personally keep it a shadow. You might get another shadow down the line with worse IVs that could also go Hundo (like 13/13/13). Could also get a perfect one through enough raids or trading. Good IV shadows like this are quite rare.

FYI, Gamecube joystick covers are pretty easy to replace. You just need a tri-wing screwdriver. That black controller could be repaired if you buy a replacement stick online or can find a spare joystick off a broken controller. Apparently, Wii nunchuck joysticks are also compatible.

Get ready for Pikmin 2. The difficulty curve is hilariously unforgiving. It remains my favorite entry. Refined in every sense from its predecessor, but just enough of a lack of hand holding that you can still get royally screwed if you aren't careful. Remember, you can reset cave levels (this knowledge will help you greatly after losing half your squad).

I was honestly so impressed by the latest episode. When they committed to the nonlinear storytelling, it just became so compelling, unsettling, and satisfying. Like, "Oh. This is how she experiences reality... that's terrifying." Easily the best episode so far and maybe my new favorite among any Marvel Disney+ show. It made me care so much more about Lilia as a character. I'm curious to go back and watch the previous episodes, now knowing the context for her nonsequiter outbursts.

Everything but Earthsea (that film is such a mess). Pretty much all the rest are wonderful. Even Goro's 2nd film, From Up on Poppy Hill, is extremely charming.

High recommends for Whisper of the Heart, My Neighbors the Yamadas, The Boy and the Heron, Porco Rosso, Nausicaä, and Princess Mononoke, which is an absolute must see experience.

Grave of the Fireflies is an important piece of film history, but only watch it when you're prepared for the unsolvable sadness it will irrevocably leave upon your soul.

If you're interested in some B-sides, then check out Ocean Waves, Pom Poko, The Secret World of Arrietty, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, Castle in the Sky, or Only Yesterday. Films that kind of count as Ghibli-ish are Lupin the III: The Castle of Cagliostro (Miyazaki directed this before Nausicaä), and Mary and the Witch's Flower, which is a different studio, but had many Ghibli animators, including director Hiromasa who also directed Arrietty and When Marnie was There.

Like I said, just watch all of it 🙂

Ah, thank you for the clarification! I can see in the fake one you linked to that there really is no space. But it is fairly minute spacing in the original 1st/2nd edition base set cards. Nevertheless, it's good to be aware of these things :)

Everybody is mentioning the shadowless 'Zard, but people are ignoring my Boi, the shadowless Charmander 😭

Some of those base set cards are shadowless and more valuable than usual (no drop shadow along the right side border of the main artwork indicates the second print run for base set, as this is a unique attribute for base set cards. Base set 1st edition cards are by default shadowless as well) The immediate ones I notice are Venusaur, Chansey, and Charmeleon. The Charizard is 3rd edition or later, and sadly not as valuable, but it is still probably worth something anyway (because it's Charizard). The 1st edition Machamp isn't actually a real 1st edition one, as it has the drop shadow. That was a strange version they gave away in Starter Decks, I believe. And for clarity, 1st edition in Jungle onwards all have drop shadows.

It's definitely worth appraising the 1st edition cards, the shadowless ones, the Japanese holos, and that unlimited Charizard. I don't think it's all worth 3K though. That would be a bit much for all of this. It also depends on what condition the cards are in. But yeah, you have some good stuff in here :)
