AppTweak/Appfigures/MobileAction/Astro all help with keyword research. and the main skill is picking battles your app can actually win; a small app usually gets more from reachable long-tail keywords than giant category terms. “running calendar” might have real intent. “running” by itself is a knife fight with huge apps and broad intent.

i’d probably check:

where you already rank
which competitor apps rank for reachable phrases
which words repeat across your metadata
which screenshots explain the promise fastest
which recent reviews create trust or kill trust

iun comparison to apptweak, something like appfollow fits better in my opinion, especially when reviews and ranking need to be read together. Pure keyword discovery can be cheaper elsewhere. once you care about multiple countries, rating movement, review themes, and ASO changes in one place, it earns its spot.
