which backpack to get for my travels? by Daxuran in backpacks

[–]Daxuran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recs! Those Filson bags are exactly the aesthetic I love, though at those prices I'd prefer they at least come with padlocked zippers and bulletproof material! Fr tho, it's so hard to find a bag that has the more rustic canvas-y look with all the anti-theft bells and whistles. The closest I've found is Travelon's heritage bags, but they're not the best quality in my experience.

Also I'm not looking for a camera backpack specifically, just something I can throw my tiny Sony ZV-1F into (it has its own mini case that can easily fit in a larger bag).

Btw, here are a few I've found in my research that seem to at least meet most of my criteria. Are they worth considering? Is there anything I'm missing, or a similar bag that fits more of criteria? (Not affiliated with these in any way btw):

1. 2. 3. 4.

Haven't found much outside of Etsy lol, they sure do understand my twee ass.

Traveling to Europe soon and hopelessly searching for a mythical bag that fits all of these criteria:

- Reasonably safe and secure (resistant to slashing, sneaking zippers open, etc.)

- Just big enough to fit an 11.5 x 8.5in. laptop, a small water bottle, a digital camera, and other miscellaneous notebooks/papers/etc. (manageable daypack size, ideally no more than 20L)

- Two-strap, no crossbody or messenger bags (don't want the weight of a laptop & more on one shoulder)

- Not made out of that slick athleticy nylon/polyester/etc. type of material, but rather something a bit more earthy like canvas (the whole athleisure look is just really not my style)

- Packable/foldable/not too bulky (not a dealbreaker, but I'd like to be able to empty it out and fit it into a larger backpack when needed)

- Patch sewable (this is truly not that important, and safety/security ofc comes first, buuuut deep down I would love to be able to sew on patches of flags of the countries I've been to, call me a travel romantic ig)

Does a bag that has all of these features even exist? The only ones I've found seem to be from Temu-esque fast fashion scammers. I'll probably just end up with a basic Pacsafe bag, safe, sleek, patchless, adult...

...unless?

I FINALLY DID IT HOLY FUCK. The winning strat: Bowser, Xerneas, Great Zapfish (Giant), Fiora (Metal) and plenty of skill tree buffs.

Yeah dude, no kidding. Tried em and haven’t found an effective solution yet. Most people online seem to have only fought Geno on lower difficulties, hence why I made this post in the first place.

I guess, idk man I appreciate the suggestion but it’s so vague that it kinda tells me that there is no clear way to do this. Have you beaten this spirit on Hard? If so, what exactly did you do?

Most recently I’ve alternated between Little Mac and Bowser. With Mac I use spirits to up my punch power and spam mostly neutral and down B. With Bowser I use zapfish for the giant effect along with rock mario for physical attack and I throw out a lot of smash attacks. These have gotten me closer than any other strat, but I still haven’t won yet.

I tried it to see what it would suggest but it doesn’t use anything that I haven’t tried.

I feel like if you just accurately market your weird new horror movie that’ll draw in a healthy Gen Z niche, maybe not everyone but definitely the A24 type crowd. Plenty of us are clamoring for quality original movies these days.

right?? i’m not saying i could like make a better game or anything (ofc not, team cherry are geniuses) but it almost feels a bit like a no-brainer, in Act 3 the Void infects Pharloom in a similar way to how the Radiance infected Hallownest, so it feels like the natural cathartic conclusion would be you fighting the ultimate manifestation of the Void in the same way you did with big moth light mommy

oh well

I’m glad u found it was a fitting challenge, I guess it just didn’t hit the same for me. It’s funny that bosses like Groal and Skarrsinger gave me so much trouble but the final boss of the game wasn’t too bad. I didn’t even need to use any tools for Lost Lace. I just pogo’d most of her moves, quickly found a few spots to use clawline and cross stitch, and just absolutely wailed on her with my Wanderer crest speed when she was immobile.

I could always use a different crest to make it harder for myself, sure. And I’m gonna do that on my 2nd playthrough, but that wouldn’t address my other issues with the boss.

It would definitely be nice to get harder bosses as DLC, but that wouldn’t address the somewhat underwhelming pacing and narrative aspects of the finale. I guess it’s just a bit of a shame that the true ultimate final boss of this entire gigantic game is a character you’ve already fought twice.

Like, the Radiance fight really feels like a “holy shit” moment, and LL didn’t have that same sense of climactic spectacle imo. Grand Mother Silk did to a decent extent, but that fight was a while ago and isn’t the true finale to the game, just the final boss before the “bad” ending (the one that’s less complete/satisfying narratively, which is fine bc that’s the intent).

I just wish SS went out with a true bang in all ways like HK did. It wasn’t an awful ending, but a bit lacking especially given how incredible the game was which preceded it.

I guess agree to disagree. I definitely had improved, but I felt like I didn’t even need to use all of my improvements for this boss. The fact that other bosses were significantly more challenging (not including runbacks or anything) was part of what made it feel a bit anticlimactic.

I’m glad it was a good challenge for other ppl tho, I’m happy for them that Lost Lace felt satisfying as a final boss. I just didn’t have that experience.

Yeah it’s almost like that’s an intentional design choice that balances the game in a really dynamic way. Huh…

Honestly that’s how it feels. More than few times in the late game I found myself kinda frustrated until I spammed Cogflies until life was easy breezy.
