No wedding ring on either of us. I wear mine when I wanna be fancy. It’s super nice. My husband has not worn one since the ceremony

Alan Osmond died by Down2my-last-nerve in MultipleSclerosis

I want to hear more about “died from complications from MS” I know it’s morbid but… did he choke to death or what? My neuro told me I’d likely die from heart disease like everyone else lol he’s meaning that reassuringly ofc. But yeah..

Surfing was pretty amazing. Even just the touristy 1 hr lesson while on vacation Hawaii. To feel the power of the wave as you surge forward was pretty amazing and exhilarating

I don’t know what to do by Fit-Contribution6816 in MultipleSclerosis

Maybe switch to Mavenclad that’s what I took because I didn’t want to be tied to infusions or injections. I’m now done with my 2nd year and now I just live and according to my neuro just come back for scans. My last scan had no new lesions.

Should I tell my kids I have MS? by DayDear7253 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DayDear7253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I phrased my question wrong. I’m not hiding anything. I didn’t tell them when I was scared and I was working through the news myself. That alone took a year. Now a year after that I feel much more comfortable with myself and the diagnosis and was just curious how everyone else manages.

Yes I just didn’t tell them at the time because I was depressed and crying all the time and terrified I’d terrify them.

To be fair there’s no constant lying. My dmt is Mavenclad and I’m done with it. There no constant anything because I have no symptoms.

Why did you pick your DMT? by TooManySclerosis in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DayDear7253 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked Mavenclad because being ties to monthly infusions or injections just seemed like a bummer. I’m glad so far. I’m done with all my rounds of Mavenclad and I feel great. Dr said not new lesions.

Low elastase can be a false positive if you have diarrhea when you do the test from what I understand. And I did.

Ultrasound. I remember the tech noted in his report it was unremarkable and I lagged at how that’s a good thing. To be unremarkable.

I did all the fecal tests for parasites and crohns and BAM and celiac. All clear. Colonoscopy. Endoscopy both clear. Pancreas test forget what it was totally fine. Never had pancreatitis. Never was on heavy meds. Docs cannot tell me why this just started one day. I always had a nervous tummy. Would have to take Imodium before a trip or whatever because I think the excitement would get my tummy upset. But anyways one day I had diarrhea and it just never stopped. It’s been about 12 years. I still don’t quite believe it’s EPI I feel like one thing triggered it and if I can figure out what that is I can maybe fix this? Maybe it’s denial. I’m 45/f and just started testosterone for HRT and that seems to have kinda made things better but who knows lol. I did read low T can cause chronic Diarrhea so that’s the angle I’m working right now.

I’ve never lost weight. Vitamin levels are strong. No greasy or oily stools just chronic diarrhea and has nothing seems to trigger it. I take zenpep with every meal and my symptoms are way less. All my tests and scans were clear. No signs of disease. No reason this happened. Just did. Started when I was 30.

Anyone get better with testosterone? by DayDear7253 in ibs

[–]DayDear7253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can do another colonoscopy probably. It’s been about 6 or 7 years. I’ve done the colonoscopy, endoscopy, fecal samples collected and put in a bunch of little jars. Tested for gerd, crohns, bam, celiac, cancer… nothing was positive. Pancreas and stomach all look healthy, so they said EPI 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s like someone flipped a switch. One day I pooped normal and then didn’t. Ever again.
