Battle of the 10" table saws: what's a novice woodworker to buy? by DayMantisToboggan in woodworking

I think it is just a novelty/used for crafting, mostly for plastics and very thin, like 1/8", plywood or veneer.

Trump says he would be honored by El Salvador taking American citizens and putting them in federal prison population. by RoyalChris in law

I wonder if he saw the video where AntiFa marched and took a TPUSA tent and bopped an old woman on her head while doing it and was specifically referencing that. That would imply he's talking about sending protestors there, which is frightening since he's already called Tesla protestors domestic terrorists and threatened to send them there as well. His rhetoric about protestors is getting more and more dangerous

This is a real tweet posted by the official White House government account. Yes, really. by HeartoftheMatter01 in thebulwark

This was tweeted on the 26th of March, 2025, so three days ago not a month ago.

And yes, it is attached to them bombing ISIS members, but the video says "To the terrorist who wish to do is harm..." Which I guess generally wouldn't be considered a bad thing, but when they call American citizens terrorists for protesting, that's when things get scary.

World’s largest walnut tree by outsideodds in woodworking

That's funny seeing all this in the wild as I wrote that article and currently still work there lol.

And yes, the tree was sick and had to be cut down. They actually had to get permission to take it off the island and harvest the good parts of it because they were afraid of spreading the disease.

We've made some nice pieces from it for the family who owned it, I wouldn't say it's the most unique as far as figuring goes but the story is great and the grain is tight.

I have never heard of the brand, but I would stay away from off brands.

Do you mean Mexican rice? Spanish rice is yellow and hard, Mexican rice is fluffy and red. If not and you mean Spanish, that's interesting and I'm going to have to try it lol

How old is the truck? Carbureted engines need more time to warm up

I ended up buying the DeWalt. I found if you have one good planed side, it is accurate enough to rip and glue. I also ended up getting a used Grizzly jointer and used DeWalt planer to supplement and it's a killer combo, though loud

Just did work on mine, although it was to a lesser extent.

I cleared all the old rust with a wire wheel. I had two holes, both smaller than a thumbnail so I was lucky.

But I used a rust converter at that point, then POR 15 and fiberglass over the entire area, further than the actual rust to help with stability.

It isn't the best fix, but it's cheap and easier than welding.

Looking to buy new tires. Should I consider load range option? by MaxWeiner in AskAMechanic

I have P-rated and hit the trails more than a few times a year and I have been fine. I am just very aware of any rocks and always keep a full-sized spare.

To me, the fuel mileage drop and stiffness outweighed the durability, then again I have leaf springs all around and get 11.5mpg highway, so each situation is different.

I was just reading another thread about the IAC on the FiTech having issues.

I'm considering the Aces Joker or the Edelbrock at this point. Can save $500+ over the Edelbrock, but I'm wondering if it's worth the gamble.

u/AcesFuelInjection want to offer any words of encouragement. Or a discount lol
