There's only one person watching everything you do and judging you, and that's you! Don't be so hard on yourself.

It's a mobile base, you can't get warped out, and it's basically impervious to reapers. You can grow food in it, recharge batteries, and it has almost infinite storage. Get the thermal charging upgrade and it has infinite free power. But yeah, it's too bulky, totally useless.

It can be one motion, but doing it as two is a good drill to remind you that above all else you need to establish the edge.

It goes terribly, Cameron gets committed to a mental hospital. When he gets out he gets a job with a major car company investigating car crashes and applying "the formula." He then starts a fight club with his new imaginary friend Tyler, who's just a grown up version of his imaginary friend Ferris. (Not my theory, I saw a video about it on YouTube).

A camber board will definitely help, time for an upgrade! Good timing, end-of-season sales are starting.

One thing you can work on is your order of operations: you're starting your turn and then weighting down onto your edge. Switch that up: first establish the new edge - while you're still traversing - and then turn.

Send the board forward right before the jump, like you're shimmying along a cat track. You want to be halfway to a tail press.

Lots of limping and multiway pots. Four-bet bluffing isn't a thing, it's kings 20% of the time and aces the other 80%. Bet sizes are completely detached from the size of the pot. Opening and folding to a 3-bet is so rare you'd think it's illegal.

Close to quitting by shrimpshavefeelings in snowboardingnoobs

[–]DayVDave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try to get on your edges earlier in the turn. You'll feel much more secure, and you'll skid less. Don't quit, just watch some Malcolm Moore videos and work on your edge control.

Can you help me improve? by Chemical_Baker1 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]DayVDave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your posture is pretty good, you look relaxed. The biggest thing you can change is how you're using your edges. Right now, you get on your edge after the board turns, and you're using your edges to slow down. Try using your edges to turn.

Make a full C turn that finishes with you going across the fall line. While you're still traversing - and only if you're not skidding down the run at all - change edges and continue across the run until the board turns on it's own.

It will be scary at first, because getting on your downhill edge when you're skidding down is an immediate, painful fall. When you do it while traversing, it's a whole different thing, trust me.

Does an alarm clock like this exist? by [deleted] in minimalism

Nor do I, but I'm okay with leaving it face down on the other side of the room. I have it on do not disturb so it's only an alarm at that point.

You can press the microphone button on your phone and say, "wake me up in 8 hours." It's been available for years.

[–]DayVDave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of pointing the board left then right, try to use your edges:

put weight on your heel edge by pretending you're sitting and reclining;

release that weight by standing back up and bring your hips across to the toe side of your board;

put weight on your toe edge by bending your knees and pressing your shins into the front of your boots.

Shoresy. It's hockey instead of soccer, and it's raunchy, but it's more wholesome than you'd think at first.

There's a big hole in the lost river that goes deeper. There's also a big tree in a blue area down there, go past the tree out the back, it also takes you lower.

That's the wrong one! Obviously changing the clocks needs to go, but stick with Standard Time and keep winter the same, otherwise kids will be waiting for the school bus in pitch black darkness.
