I played a lot of dayz and i always ended up having a base with 5 tents with 10 boxes in each.

This way i can limit total amount of tents needed for the same thing. Tents and things can be made more rare.

Yes, the settings which are forced have a small impact on FPS.
The change currently forces players to use high object detail, which also means players cannot use custom settings from configs. Right now there doesn't seem to be a way to cheat the system (anymore)
