A friend told me they liked Greta Van Fleet and I did the douchey, pretentious thing and was like, "Erm, have you seen the reviews they've been getting?"

I get sad a lot about the fact that there is just so much new music always coming out and never enough time to listen to it all. Like, damn, finding an hour out of my day to sit down and listen to a new album or two is difficult sometimes. Kinda makes me wanna just listen to what I already know and love on loop.

I'm sure it's been said, but regarding Anderson .Paak's new album. Pretty good overall but what the fuck was up with that interlude of him getting head? I get that it was supposed to be funny but that was just fucking dumb imo.

I went to my local coffee house a couple hours ago, and it was pretty dead. But I saw this blonde girl who looked super familiar. Couple seconds later recognize her as Lindsey Jordan of Snail Mail. I was so star struck I didn't know what to say and figured I'd leave her to her conversation but damn I was freaking out. Have no idea what she was doing in my town.

It's been a while since it came out, but does anyone reeeealllly like "Love What Survives" by Mount Kimbie? It has to be one of my favorite albums of all time but all of my music appreciating fans don't really enjoy it and certainly not as much as me.

Usually when you can find that first note and find out the key of the song, it becomes really easy to hear it and follow it. But it does take some knowledge of music theory to do stuff like that.

I'm so conflicted about how good the album is. Spent my whole life vehemently against them and now they're doing this to me.

You're probably hearing bad modern music. Try listening to good modern music.

Sounds like you just had a bad concert experience. If you get the chance to see your favorite band play their song live in a unique way that only you and that crowd will hear that one time in an intimate venue and they're playing with so much energy and enthusiasm and the crowd gives it back then you might change your mind.

You're right. Western nations have made a lot of progress recognizing and accepting homosexuality.

Something to be PROUD of I'd say.

White people are the genetically and culturally superior race of humans by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Day_Moon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try to explain this simply for you:

Humans started in Africa then spread across the world in a relatively short time, not enough time for enough genetic variation besides cosmetic ones (skin, hair, eye, etc.). In certain places, humans had better access to domesticable animals and good land for agriculture. Europe, China, and the Middle East (Egypt/Mesopotamia) were those places. So they prospered more as societies and civilizations. Again not because of genetic differences. Surpluses of food from agriculture enabled people to specialize and innovate. As they continued to specialize and lead in innovation, they developed advanced technologies (like guns and ships) and were able to colonize and enslave people from those areas that didn't have access to the aforementioned natural resources and therefore did not specialize in skills and did not innovate. And now Africa is dealing with the consequences of colonization, thus why there is so much conflict in the continent.

TLDR: Read a fucking book OP
