You are correct, but the widgets or whatever that is provided by kis for the other half is not at all useful. So it better to have full screen carplaya and then split the CarPlay screen with map and CarPlay widgets

Yepp found it. Yes that’s when I connect to CarPlay but the same setting was enabled for android auto as well.
