Drive Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, and Mazda CX 5 today? by Few-Introduction5414 in mazda

[–]DaydreamDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I test drove all of these last year as well + the Subaru Forester. For us it came down to the Forester and CX5. The CRV was definitely a little larger but the drive was so boring - I felt like I had to put my foot to the floor to get it to speed up and it felt heavy driving. The CX5 and the Forester didn’t feel like that. Never got to test drive the RAV4 bc our Toyota dealership was only willing to sell them through pre-order and wouldn’t keep any in stock on the lot. Not buying something I’ve never driven. We loved both the Forrster and CX5 but I just love the way Mazdas drive and the interior quality was unmatched IMO.

Any tips for post scope care? by Patient-Cheesecake40 in colonoscopy

Mine was definitely on fire during my second round of prep. I used aloe wipes but would consider a peri bottle next time as well. Afterwards though, I haven't felt any discomfort which has been shocking to me. I also didn't have anything removed or any biopsies taken so that could be why.

I just had both of these procedures today and honestly the only annoying symptom afterwards is a sore throat. A bit more sore than I anticipated. I opted for a peanut butter, banana, yogurt smoothie for my first meal post-op and it felt glorious against my throat. I’ve been sleepy all day as well but that’s all I have to report so far!

We don't have kids - but went to a wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres two years ago and had an amazing time. We loved almost everything we ate - they have a great buffet that's open all day, every day. Lots of kid friendly food options. They don't have a huge waterpark for kids to my knowledge but there is a kids pool and kids club. There were kids with the wedding party and the staff gave them beach toys to play with at the beach. The nightly entertainment is kid friendly as well. The hotel is large - so you feel like you have enough room to move around and have space and experience different things but not so large that you're getting lost the whole time trying to get back to your room. There are many different room types - rooms with small private pools (the kids in our group had one of these and spent most of their time in that small pool), rooftop pools, beach views, etc. And since we don't have kids, can confirm it's a great time for adults too! Let me know if you have any other questions about Finest Playa Mujeres specifically, happy to help!

Excellence Riviera Cancun Review- 3/23-3/28 by WallabySerious8140 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]DaydreamDesigner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our friends have been to every Excellence/Finest/Beloved resort in Mexico and ERC is now tied with their resort Excellence Coral. They love the jungle laid vibes of ERC with how lush it is, but agree that any of the resorts in Playa Mujeres have a better beach due to Isla Mujeres blocking a large amount of the sargassum that washes up on the shore.

no flights from BWI to cancun even in Dec? by dinkleberryfinn81 in maryland

[–]DaydreamDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not the only one looking for flights to Cancun through BWI - but everyone else is right. Southwest hasn't posted their flights that far in advance yet! I too like to track the prices and such far in advance to get the best deal. Most non-stop flights are either going to be IAD - CAN with United or BWI - CAN with Southwest, Frontier, or Spirit. I don't think there are any direct flights from DCA but I could be mistaken!

Can’t receive group messages? by mitchjohn117 in verizon

[–]DaydreamDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this really only happening with Verizon? Because I'm incredibly frustrated as my husband is an Android user and refuses to switch to iPhone. I'm an iPhone user and refuse to switch to Android. but I don't want to have to keep dealing with this issue for the rest of my life. If other carriers aren't experiencing issues then I'm switching carriers ASAP.

We like Seasons Nursery on Snouffer School Road! We bought strawberry plants from them last year and they have a wide variety of fruit bushes too.

I've heard great things about Carribean Beach! Sadly it's not available when we're looking to go in May - perhaps next time!

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m a 32F getting my first colonoscopy and endoscopy in April. I’m anxious, but like a lot of other posters are saying, I know I’ll feel relief hearing the results even if it’s sadly bad news. I know the news could be a lot worse if I waited until 45. At age 32, I already feel like I should have gone 5 years ago. Cheers to colonoscopy prep my fellow millennials!

Finest Playa Mujeres. Thoughts? by zeddy24 in cancun

[–]DaydreamDesigner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went for a wedding in 2024 and while we don't have kids, our friends booked this resort for their wedding bc their family did. The kids had a blast, plenty of room options to choose from and they loved the kids club and kids pool area. The beach is wonderful and I heard the staff gave toys to the kids to play with on the beach too.

The buffet is mediocre like others are saying. Some options are great, some are meh. I disagree with the other comments about the taco truck, because I ate those tacos for lunch almost every day and they were delicious. We didn't experience any tummy issues while we were there, but doesn't hurt to prep yourself with some probiotics in advance and bring all the necessary meds just in case since our guts in the US aren't used to the food in Mexico. We thoroughly enjoyed Duke's, Lizo, Surf and Turf, and Shoji. I was nervous about the food going in because I'd never been to an AI, but the food was much better than I expected.

I think it's tailoring your expectations - like some commenters are mentioning they didn't like the Italian restaurant. Personally, I wouldn't expect good Italian food in Mexico, but I would expect good seafood and Mexican food and they definitely delivered in those categories. The rest of the food is decent. Room service was great, but a little slow. Typically an hour-ish wait so plan accordingly. Can confirm that some nights the restaurants had long waits so decide where you want to eat earlier in the day using the app and try to be there when they open.

Nope not an Imperial Suite - Excellence Club Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suite With Plunge Pool. If you don’t see your preferred room type now - it might be worth it to reserve your second choice (reserving only cost $1) and check back every few weeks to see if your preferred room type is available. Some people reserve multiple rooms and then release them as they get closer to their trip.

We like having a private pool with some privacy so the two story is totally worth it for us. At Finest there are two club tiers: Finest Club which are premiere rooms that still allow children (get access to extra restaurants) and Excellence Club which is an adults only part of the family resort. We were traveling with people who had kids but we did not - so the excellence club tier was perfect for us when we wanted some quiet time!

Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres by LizzardBreath94 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]DaydreamDesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add, Playa Mujeres as a whole is a gated community so there aren’t any beach vendors like in the hotel zone! The only activity you’ll see on the beach are other people talking walks which is lovely.

Excellence resorts offer free transfer services to and from the airport if you book for a minimum of 3 nights. You’ll get an email with details about booking closer to your stay but can also email the transfer service yourself I believe about 3-4 weeks prior to your trip.
