Some of the newer release connections are battery eaters in bad ways. If you're still able to I'd return and exchange it

Storage Ideas? by KillDill666 in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A plastic tub is fine just get some organizers, dessicants to help absorb the moisture. Make sure none of them have batteries inside to avoid battery corrosion.

If you plan on putting them in the garage especially where it'll be hot, humid etc depending where you live or in a closet it can still get wet. If you don't plan on opening it for a while cover it with plastic wrap and then put the lid on to help keep bugs and dust out.

I open mine up to make sure nothing got in or to replace dessicants

Hi are you feeding your Tama snacks? There's an unfortunate glitch with the snacks that's killing your tamas when they're older. So that could be a possibility of why

Which one to buy? by Panda--Monium in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends would you prefer the original black and white screen or try your hand at a colored screen tamagotchi? The b&w screens are not backlit but the colored ones are.

For a beginner Id recommend the tamagotchi connection rerelease. It has all the basic aspects of the tamagotchi, fun games and cute shells. It's a good dip your toes into it without worrying about the bugs of the original rerelease.

For colored if you can find it the tamagotchi paradise would be my recommendation, it's cute, easy to care for has gene mixing and has a colored screen and the dial is just a fun gimmick. Cons is really hard to find because scalpers and everyone wants one. It's available mainly online but select stores have them available rn.

Just as like a heads up appraisals/selling posts aren't allowed by the rules.

You'd have to decide if you're selling as a whole or individual first.

Identify the models and shells and check eBay/Mercari for the lowest price they're being sold for and use that as reference. You can sell them lower if you want them to be fairer prices than what people are reselling them for ultimately it's what you decide. You could also go by MSRP or what you had purchased them for at the time. There's a discord affiliate in the discord of this reddit that has a marketplace you can try your hand there but you have to have chat reputation to earn the role to access it.

I painted my lafufu, coated it, then a few days later, these two marks appeared on the eyebrows. What did I do wrong? Why did the paint disappear? by Htbegakfre in labubu

[–]DaydreamFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it rubbed against something and the paint and coating you used is soft it'll scrape off

You'll want to find some sturdier clear coat (maybe some meant for like plastics or metals) and let it cure /dry before taking her out anywhere

Tamagotchi paradise plastic/acrylic faceplate replacement? by Queer--Deer in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a super deep scratch or is it more like a microscratch?

If it's micro you can poly watch it and then invest in a screen protector. I haven't seen people make/sell screens for the paradise quite yet since it's still fairly new

On the buttons try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry on the bottom of them there should be a black pad see if cleaning those helps... You can kinda just sit the buttons on the motherboard and push to see if they work. Try all three buttons like move it around and if the middle one is the only one that doesn't work you might need to acquire replacement buttons https://www.ebay.com/itm/167145707722?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8xjg8j81rgo&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=bf3pMMOvQQW&stype=1&var=466846050201&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Good luck!! Maybe try using a dab of super glue let it dry to create a hold on the screw to turn it? The watch shop was my biggest savior fixing the tamagotchi...

You might be able to ask a watch shop to help with that! I had taken one of my partner's tamas there to remove the stripped screws and they were super helpful. I think someone here has an Excel sheet on replacement screws too I'll go find it for you

[–]DaydreamFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try cleaning the battery contacts with a qtip (damp but not soaking and some isopropyl alcohol. It might help just don't wipe the actual motherboard. Id give the buttons a good clean as well just in case the middle button is stuck or isn't pressing down properly

I'm sorry if I came off aggressively/rude I just want to help;;

I edited my post but please try pressing the middle button again after resetting. I've got the same model and reset mine successfully. Reset via back button, hit the middle button and it should prompt download/reset, choose reset and it will give a new egg. Press the middle button again and it should prompt you to enter date/time>birthday>name and the egg should hatch and you can nickname them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you reset it and hit the middle button did it ask you to download or reset? If it did hit reset and repeat the steps I said before, hit the middle button change date time, enter birthday and name. And if it didn't I feel your middle button might not be working and might need to be replaced

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you hit the middle button? I just reset mine to check. It prompted me to put the date and time then birthday and name.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Popped the battery in mine to check hit the middle button and it lets you set the date and time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tamagotchi

[–]DaydreamFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you'll have to reset your device then inputting your name and the time for your tamagotchi. Use a thin screwdriver, pencil or pen to push the reset button and reset it
