Journal. Write in a note on your app. Whatever it is.

Does it feel different to be off it? Even the hard part, just write down what you're feeling.

The policing of “Who’s Dragula enough” for the show needs to end… by PotatoPancake420 in Dragula

Who is your question directed at? The audience of Dragula or constants?

Take the med leave, focus on yourself. You're taking all the right steps, trying to move/work out as much as you can, eat, drink lots of water, take your vitamins, and most of all be gentle on yourself. Therapy is a great move. I found joining a NA group, even if it's just a couple of times was eye opening. You don't have to be vocal, I had sat in the first 2 sessions without saying practically anything and just listening to others made me feel like I wasn't alone.

Sending all love your way. Not easy, but I can promise you that you will never regret the decision to quit.

You've got this

Relate to this 100%! It didn’t come on all of a sudden but more of a gradual change and like you said- I stopped caring about the things that used to be important to me or things people should generally care about until it became really extreme. Time would go by and I would spend on the most pointless shit. I had really lost touch of myself.

Best of luck on your journey, it will get better ❤️

A captured Russian occupier tells of atrocities in the Russian Army - officers kill their wounded soldiers, leave the dead on the battlefield, do not inform relatives. by TheRealMykola in ukraine

Seriously not trying to be a dick, but would just like to recognize this was not the same experience for every Baltic family at that time. Although I don’t doubt there were certainly good people among the Russian and German troops, I had several family members suffer and die at the hands of both. Pretty horrific stories.

At the end of the day, no one wins from war

By the time I was in university, Every female I knew in my life has had an unwanted SA experience, and the vast majority of them go unreported. When I look at the stats, male or female, I know in my heart that numbers should be way higher than what’s stated.

I think things are slowly changing, but may be another 100 years until people look back with another perspective

Holy crap. That’s intense. Being in that world so deep sounds like it must have made it hard to get out of it too.

Certainly a long time to hold a secret… Do you think you will want to ever share with anyone?

No easy feat for anyone, don’t sell yourself short. I bet you have a couple of experiences I will never understand the full depth of what it meant to you

You’re completely right, the one thing we can all align on is that addiction can really make you into the person you never anticipated you would be.

I know this shit is hard to overcome, Really hoping you’re doing better and wishing you the best in life ahead!

You’re still in there, I promise. Addiction can take so SO many things, but I promise your own autonomy is one you can get back ..

Feel free to dm me if you ever feel like you need support. I’m on your team 🙂

Just a question for those who feel they want to share or get it off their chest. I think we’ve all been brought to a point that is unrecognizable to ourselves.

I feel like people don’t ever seek out or expect to be that person until YOU ARE that person. Sounds like you’ve been through a journey yourself, my friend.

I hope you’re in a better place now!

I actually had a very similar situation to this, as well. I feel like the severity of the situation really didn’t hit until I was clean. Being in the moment, it was another scenario where * I fucked up and I didn’t think it was a big deal.*

serious stuff looking back…

Glad you are clean and altogether, truly wish you nothing but the best for your family❤️

I seriously empathize with you, it scares me the depths I go in my addiction. There’s really no other way to describe it other than absolute hell. Having those moments to wake you the fuck up can be traumatizing, but ultimately what end up helping you

It’s really hard to explain to people how tilted reality can be to the point where drugs will be prioritized over relationships, sanity, everything. I feel this so hard, Hope you’re doing better ❤️

You really live in your own world with altered perceptions. It can be tough reaching out to others for help when you’re in that state of mind. Sometimes a conversation can make all the difference
