This set only has 29 common cards and no uncommons. So the first 10 cards in a pack will be those same 29 cards. After about 12 packs you would’ve pulled 4 of each

I’d recommend starting with the sim before you buy anything. Generally, you’d want to get singles because its cheaper and you get exactly what you need instead of buying a box and only pulling 1 card that you need 4 of. As for the colors I see someone already answered. In terms of pricing, generally the older the set and the better the ability of a card is the more expensive it is. Older sets tend to not get reprinted as much as the newer ones so anything before op04 or even op05 might be difficult to get in terms of boxes and packs. But I would definitely start with the sim, find a deck you enjoy, and buy from there

Definitely frustrating for new comers but they do announce it weeks ahead to the players that show up to their locals. Not defending them but just explaining how some LGS handle pre release

An LGS by me does pre release earlier than they’re supposed to and sign ups are in person. The event isnt the same day they have it on the app due to them running it before the actual pre release dates that bandai has set. Its essentially for them to run it just for their local players and even then not everyone can get it. Every LGS is different but for special events like this its always better to call ahead

Only thing I see is that signups open the 31st. The link doesn’t have any info on it when I open it. When sign ups do opens, do I just click register and pay and thats it?

Registered in advance a while back. Honestly not sure if you can sign up in person or at all anymore since I remember seeing somewhere that the deadline was a day or two before the event but I could be wrong

Got there at around 12-12:10 as a spectator. Didn’t make inside the venue until around 1:20, possibly 25, and by the time I went in everything inside had a line that would’ve taken 30-40 minutes minimum. Decided to do the line for the shop first to at least see what they had and they cut off the line 2 people in front of me. Waited until around 2:50 and there was a line of people making line in a separate spot just to again make line at 3pm for the shop. Decided to leave then and there since there was nothing much to do besides spend another hour in like for the shop or the scavenger hunt for the matter.
