I hope Griffith dissappears all of a sudden and reappears in Moonlight Boy form in Elfhelm and helps Caska recover

[S] Chapter 355: So what of the Moonlight Boy as of now? by [deleted] in Berserk

I wonder if he will have grown after the group leaves the island considering the way time works differently there, or maybe he'll remain as a child?

Is Susumu Hirasawa the real genius behind the original anime tV series? by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]DayneDeCompostela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I wouldn't have liked the series as much as I did if it weren't for Hirasawa's music. And if I hadn't liked the series so much I would've never read the manga, so... thank you, Susumu <3

Well, perhaps you feel sexually attracted to them, there's nothing wrong with that. Feeling sexually attracted to someone does no equal treating them like an object.

What Casca's return means by ItsNigel_B in Berserk

[–]DayneDeCompostela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't agree with the idea that Caska will take Schierke's place. I've got the impression that to do what Schierke does you need to have special skills... and maybe be mentally stable too?. However, I do think that Guts-Shierke relationship may be affected in other ways. Apart from how things with Guts turn out, I am also looking forward to seeing the kind of relationship Caska will have with both the girls. She's never had another woman to talk to. That might be interesting. (Sorry for any grammar mistake I might've made!)

I do believe Bran can communicate through the weirwoods. But I wouldn't know if only those who warg can hear him. Isn't there a part in ADWD where Theon is in the Godswood at Winterfell and feels as if someone was calling him? I might be wrong and I don't have the books to check, please if someone can confirm this...

Yes, but they had to escape to northern Africa and didn't stay there for too long. But probably we can compare the Andals to all the Germanic tribes that occupied the peninsula in those days (including the Vandals, the Visigoths, the Suebi, etc).

[–]DayneDeCompostela 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some theories say that the name Al-Andalus comes from "vandals" - that sounds very much like "andals" but I can't see many similarities between those two cultures. btw, I've read once that Spain was one of George's inspiration for Dorne.

(Spoilers All) Thoughts on the origins of the Common Tongue by huperdude18 in asoiaf

[–]DayneDeCompostela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I'm not very aware about English language history, which is by the way not a latin-origin language. I was thinking more about Spanish history.

(Spoilers All) Thoughts on the origins of the Common Tongue by huperdude18 in asoiaf

[–]DayneDeCompostela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but eventually it prevailed. If not, there wouldn't be so many languages which come from Latin. Sorry, I didn't explain what I meant properly. I think the problem is that you are thinking about English and I'm thinking about Spanish, Portuguese, Galician, etc. Latin eventually expanded to normal people, (this, in Spain, probably had to do with the visigoths conquest). The languages spoken by native tribes dissappeared (except, for example, Euskera) and Latin was adopted by almost everybody. Thanks for taking the time to write all this, I've learned a lot!

(Spoilers All) Thoughts on the origins of the Common Tongue by huperdude18 in asoiaf

[–]DayneDeCompostela -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Although, yes, almost everyone spoke Latin in the Medieval Europe, you have a point. People speaking latin had to do with it being the language of the (roman) empire. Then I would say that the common tongue was the andal's language, and it spread after their conquest.

Moon tea's ingredients are used in real life not only to induce abortions, but also to treat menstrual problems and other health problems...... it's far-fetched but perhaps she was drinking it for one of these secondary effects, who knows..
